It was ok — I live in New West and am getting happier with the good quality food choices popping up — we still don’t have a very good cheese shop — I was hoping this would be it — but found the selection very limited — not much from BC, and missing some standards for me like St Agur, Cashel, St Andre (a basic one)… Will try again next time I’m at the wine shop, otherwise will give it a miss.

Located in Donald’s Market, this place is really easy to miss! They have another location in Vancouver, which is apparently really popular!
They have a huge selection of yummy cheeses and meat… if only I could take it all home with me hehe ;)
Instead, I got one of their build your own paninis for $ 5! I loved the combo I got: proscuitto, turkey, ham, sun dried tomatoes, provolone, topped with pesto mayo! It was sooo yummy! Probs the best sandwich I’ve had in a while haha!

Love this place, was sad when I moved away from The Drive! Now these folks have a location at River Market in New Westminster.
Find their newest location inside Donald’s Market. Same great selection and friendly staff!!! Love their panini!!! Best in the city! Can you tell in thrilled!
This location is different than their Commercial Drive shop where you can purchase groceries all under «La Grotta’s» roof. At this location «La Grotta» is IN a grocery store with just a good grocery selection, if not better than their Commercial Drive location.
