What’s with the bad reviews? This place is pretty good! Been here lots of times and no complaints. Just a ton of food for a good price

Pretty damn good burritos, I have to say. I was impressed with their salsa, the size of their burritos, and the delicious flavours that every item had. I will definitely be going back here!

Great tacos, fresh ingredients, and reasonably priced. Similar to Subway, but better.

Garbage. I know it is fast food but it is absolutely tasteless garbage. Neither salt nor salsa has the magical ability to imbue trash food with flavour. Husband convinced me to go. What a waste of money. Couldn’t eat it — left hungry.

The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I didn’t care for the food — I found it quite bland. I ordered a quesadilla with carnitas filling(straight off the menu). The blandness started with the carnitas. At other places, carnitas has more of a shredded texture. Here it was just big lumps of meat that lacked flavour and tenderness. And there wasn’t a lot of flavour added to the quesadilla. I would have liked more tomato or salsa or simlar flavouring. The food was pretty fresh, just lacking in flavour and texture.

By far one of my favourite Mexican fast food places. Compared to Taco del mar and taco time this place wins by a mile. Yeah it’s a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. I had the pastor burrito with the works love the guac!. A new trainee was making my lunch and besides some of the filling making it to the outside and too much onion he did a nice job. There was a line when I walked in but it got moved through fairly fast. Only gripe was that the tables needed a wet cloth wipe down.

yum!!! Ordered in once through skip the dishes. Everything tasted great though they forgot a few items. I’ve eaten in restaurant twice as well. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty! My whole family enjoys it

Very good. Been here four times and other than getting someone else’s order once, it’s all been fantastic. Salsa, chips and everything else is so fresh and flavorful. It’s all really well made, packaged nicely for delivery. The menu is a little pricier than some other fast food places but it’s all delicious and definitely worth it. The only thing that could make it better would be if the restaurant offered some kind of dessert or even just something like after-dinner mints. It’s feels like something’s missing.

I went to this place towards the end of the night right before they were closing, which could have affected the food experience. The staff was great and super friendly. They took the time to explain the menu items to me. The place itself feels more like a fast-food type of restaurant with a laidback atmosphere. I was surprised to find that they actually serve alcohol. The food itself wasn’t too bad, but not amazing. I had the burrito in a bowl with the spicy pork and the tortilla soup. I wanted the beef but they were out. The soup was actually really good. The major downside for me was that the rice had probably been sitting out all day, so there were some harder dry crunchy pieces in there. I had the lime rice in my bowl. I didn’t find the spicy pork to actually be very spicy, and it was a lot more dry than I was expecting. What I did like was the generous amounts of sauce and toppings. I think they could add more cheese though. Their guacamole was actually very delicious and tasty. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the option of having the food re-made as I had gotten take-out and I didn’t discover until later at home that the rice was dry. They also give a student discount, which is awesome! Their stuff is a bit pricey, otherwise, for what you actually get. I’ll probably give it another try but I would come before closing to make sure to get the most fresh ingredients, and I would try the other rice and different type of meat to see if that improves things.

This location is a far cry of the one that closed on Granville Street. We really enjoyed our lunch here. Love the décor, very hip & cool and the staff was quite friendly too. Very clean and well run. My shrimp tacos were delicious as well as the chicken burrito we had. Prices reflect the quality of the food, we will definitely be returning. It’s a TACOLIFE for us! UPDATE: Had to add another star for the superb service and food at this fabulous taco place. Forgot to mention they have great daily specials! Literally steps away from the New Westminster Skytrain Station.

I’m confused. How come this place gets such negative reviews? I consider myself really picky and notice small details that bother me but I’ve been twice now and nothing negative to say and I look forward to going each time. While I can see what people might’ve meant with the young staff who give a «chillax» attitude, if they give you the proper attention to your order and are polite, then what’s the problem with them being a bit different and not being like your typical Vancouver robotic servers? People should relax and loosen up a bit. Onto my food order, I always get the carnitas tacos baja style and I’m drooling from the flavors already from thinking about it. I also thought the portion sizes were generous and people need to stop complaining when they come in for cheap Taco tuesdays and make a stink about getting 2 giant scoops of meat(one scoop was more than enough to fill up the tacos I ordered)…you people are just super cheap and expect everything at a discounted price. Get real. I also enjoyed the décor and felt like I was in SoCal with the homies and not in Vancouver… nice change. All in all, if the management is new and that’s why my experience was positive please do keep it up!

Came in for the first time last week, and order a slow cooked pork burrito. The food was decent, quite filling, however the total came to just over $ 10, slightly more expensive than I had hoped. On the note of expensive, I noticed that tacos were $ 3.99 each. My friend ordered 2, totalling around $ 8.50, and said that wasn’t nearly enough. They also have«Taco Tuesday» where tacos are a meager 50 cents cheaper. At $ 3.49, they’re still not much of a bargain. Aside from price, food tasted fine, nothing spectacular. If you’re looking for good food at a lower cost, this might not be the place for you.

I don’t understand the bad reviews for this place. We just ate here with some friends who recommended it to us. When we walked in, we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. We said we had never ate here before and the staff member went into detail about everything for us, even showing us the size of the soft and hard tacos. Greatly appreciated. I got the baha tostada bowl and my fiancé got the baha burrito. We made one a combo and our total was $ 23. Fairly typical for this type of food. Chipolte would have been the same or more. The food was really good. It was tasty and super filling. Despite what other reviewers have said, they weren’t stingy at all. My fiancés burrito was heaaavy! Neither of us could finish our meals. Our friends got two tacos each and one«meal» and they couldn’t finish theirs either. The place is clean, the food is all fresh, and the staff is great. They even serve beer — draft beer is only $ 4. I would totally recommend it. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I’d like to see more specials; the specials here don’t seem to be that discounted.

I popped in here for a quick lunch, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back. I had 2 tacos, which came to just over $ 8… I thought it was a bit pricey. The girl helping me was really friendly and nice, but that’s the only positive thing I have to say about this place. I got the spicy pork, and grilled beef. Between the two, the spicy pork was better, I liked the spice, but they were both incredibly dry. I’m sure they are also given instructions on portion sizing, but I thought the meat was really skimpy. Thanks, but no thanks. For that price, I’d rather spend an extra buck, and head to Re-Up BBQ down the road for a great spicy fried chicken burger.

I’m surprised at all the negative reviews. The tostado shell filled with the works including jalapenos, Baja sauce, guacamole… mmmmm…excellent! And the service was good too!

The biggest turnoff at this location is the staff seems to be really stingy with the portions, the burritos here are expensive as it is and I’m sure marked up quite a bit so can you please just give the customers what they want? Also, I do have to agree with others posters that the staff here isn’t the friendliest and combine unfriendliness and stinginess, not a good combo! Not sure if they’re being directed by the owner of this establishment to be stingy with the portions to make more money but its going to have the opposite effect you want, customers won’t put up with that for the price of your food. This is what happened on my last two visits here: Ordered a burrito, they were almost out of rice, and what was left over looked dry and old, so they bring out the fresh batch and I am assuming they’ll use the fresh stuff for my burrito but guess what, THEYPUTTHEOLDDRIEDUPSTUFFONMYBURRITO!. Most recent visit: Ordered a burrito and I got a huge heaping ONETABLESPOON size of meat in there, I cook for a living so I know how to eyeball portions and yep, it was pretty much a tablespoon give or take. BOTH times the meat was dry. I really want my money back for those two times because I didn’t even eat hardly any of those burritos, 20 dollars down the drain. False advertising is right, I am not getting burritos with fresh ingredients in it at all! Guys, you need to up your game or lower your prices or I don’t see you being around for very long… a la Taco Del Mar…

I’ve been here twice before, and it was delicious both times! My friend showed me this joint a couple months ago and we went again recently. The last time we went, we got a tostada bowl with chicken, refried beans, and all the other works, and damn! I rarely eat Mexican but I loved this! We also got a shrimp taco and a steak taco. I, personally, don’t like soft tacos, even though I know that a traditional taco isn’t hard. Next time, I’d like to try their burritos. I heard from my friend that it’s a huge serving.

I love tacos, they’re the best thing ever. Cheap, fresh, easy to make and delicious. But this Chronic Taco location puts the concept to shame. The tomato«fresh salsa» at this location always tastes like its starting to decompose, ew. Health hazard. They probably make a giant batch use it, and save it until who knows when. Bad. Also, I just clearly saw an employee refill their cabbage supply at the front FROM A PREPACKAGEDBAG. The food here is advertised as «fresh» so basically its false advertising. Is it to hard to cut fresh ingredients? And it was an unpleasant surprise to get a bad tummy ache from the hot baja sauce, after particularly asking if it was spicy or not. Train your staff a bit better. Save your money to make five tacos at home instead for the price of one here, without getting sick afterwards. The setup and décor is nice, kudos. But I mean, that’s the work of an established franchise, nothing special. I’ll give this place a try in a while as I believe in improvement via feedback.

Let me start by saying that I really really wanted to like this place! It is right near my house and I LOVE Tacos. I’ve been here three times now and each visit got worse and worse. The first time I went, The girl who helped me was awesome. She was polite, and explained everything and very friendly. I thought it was a little expensive but worth a try. I had the steak taco. The second time I went, I ordered a fish taco and a beef taco. On this visit, I discovered that they charge extra for sour cream. Seriously. While I can understand charging extra for fresh made guac, charging extra for sour cream? What, did you make it yourself??? Just ridiculous. Anyway, My fish taco tasted kind of fishy and the beef was so dry I couldn’t finish it. Very disappointed. The third and final time I went here, I picked up food for myself and my hubs. We got some chicken taquitos, which were just horrible. Burned and barely any chicken. We got beef tacos(Again, flavourless and tough meat), and a burrito. Hubs said burrito was ok, not enough flavour. Overall, pretty disappointed. Charging extra for things like sour cream when the product is already over priced is just robbery. Food is not consistent in size or quality and most of the staff are unfriendly, unhelpful and at some points just rude. Will have to find another place to get my taco on.

Sitting here right now, and I have the smallest burrito I have ever gotten from any chronic tacos location! The kid was giving small amounts, and he was very quiet when he talked. My girlfriend had a girl making her burrito and she loaded her burrito up. I won’t be back to this location. For the amount I paid, I was very disappointed.
