Since about 2005, the product put out by Greco Pizza in New Minas has slid down hill, until recent. It was brought to my attention in early fall 2013 that new franchisees had taken over this location from the previous corporate management, the previous franchise had the store taken back by corporate due to poor management. After having several poor meals from the past franchisee and corporate management, I decided to give this location one final try… Not because I wanted to, but there was little else to chose from at the time. I am happy to say the new franchisee has turned this location around. The first positive change I noticed when I walked in was how clean the store was. The walls have fresh paint, the dining room has been re-arranged and the plumbing has finally been fixed and no longer can you smell the grease trap. — Why this took so many years to address is beyond me. Food wise, the quality of the product is night and day. Perfect pizza from the dough to the amount of cheese… to the bake. The product coming out of the kitchen has gone from a 3 out of 10 to easily an 8.5 out of 10. On the downside, they no longer serve cookies and I was a big fan of them. Also, I think they should be giving more than one solo cup of donair sauce with larger orders of Garlic Fingers, it’s not enough and it should be a given a customer is going to need more than one small solo cup of donair sauce for dip — Instead, this is used to upsell the customer. Get on the same page as Pizza Hut, two dips for a regular size cheese sticks. One final note is the wait time. On a few occasions I feel I have waited a few minutes longer than expected for my order — However, this is a really small price to pay for the great product this location is putting out of their kitchen. If you have not been to this location in a while, I suggest you give it a try again. It’s made a weekly customer out of me once again.
