It is what it is! That’s pretty much it. As a previous reviewer said, there’s a huge variety of merchandise that varies each time you go in. I’ve had some success finding good deals. I’m nervous about refurbs as there are no refunds, but they do offer warranty. I wouldn’t buy any big ticket electronics there, but for electronic accessories — cords, mouse, carrying cases, keyboards, this is the place to go. Same for toys. Not great, not horrible, but serves a niche.

I have been on the lookout for some electronic items(especially some Christmas gift ideas) and so when I ran across Factory Direct, I just had to stop and peek inside. Let me begin by telling you that Factory Direct sells items that are from other stores/manufacturers — in the sense that the stock is overstock items or items that were to be liquidated. So, you never know what you might find at Factory Direct at any given time. When I was there they had TONS of different things — games, game controllers, computers, monitors, keyboards, headphones, telephones, mp3 player supplies, etc. The prices were pretty rock bottom, but all sales are final. What disturbed me about Factory Direct was the overall layout. It is a relatively small space with all the merchandise in the middle, surrounded by counters staffed with employees who seem to be watching you very closely. It was a very disturbing feeling. Otherwise, a good place if you want electronics without the big prices.
