Very good selection of food. Excellent quality and clean. Really liked the beef ribs, prime rib grilled to the way I liked it. Also usual Asian fare. Two people cost $ 54.64 includes one Pepsi and taxes. Ohhhh did I mention the food area was clean!

Jan 29, 2016 at 11:15am my Brother stepped on a cockroach in between the salad bar and the noodle bar. Didn’t see any more but one was enough for us as where there is one there must be others.

If I could give a 0 on 5 star for this place I would. It was absolutely awful. If you want to pay 14 $ for ramen noodles and simile chicken then this is the perfect place. There is no variety whatsoever and everything tastes the same, disgusting. I don’t know what they did during renovations but it clearly wasn’t enough to fix this lacklustre restaurant.

I was seated facing approximately 3 waitresses, a host, and a lady from the kitchen taking plates from the buffet and standing behind this half wall eating with their fingers, then filling water pitchers, folding cutlery and topping up customers water without washing their hands. What really grossed me out was when our waitress took a bite of food, chewed it as she walked over, and swallowed as she was pouring water into my glass. Maybe I am overreacting, but to me this isn’t acceptable. Blegh.

Step 2) Go have lunch at this restaurant.
I don’t understand why this place has received so many bad reviews. It’s the best Chinese buffet I’ve had in a long time.
They have a lot of items most buffets don’t. Squid, calamari, octopus… I’m not a big fan but I love having the option.
The cold buffet is great. The egg salad especially.
Dumplings… Finally dumplings. Gotta love them
My only complaint would be that the veggies might be undercooked (but I was there at 11:15AM so I’m pretty sure they expected them to be thoroughly cooked by noon).
Also. $ 13! For lunch

Awful Awful Awful The food was cold and chewy, I couldn’t get through an egg roll it was so hard. I talked to the manager and he blamed me for eating the lunch menu food and I said its the same food and I was there well past dinner and it only got worse. He didn’t apologize and said everybody else likes it, nobody complains and then told the cashier to take off a few dollars, not us but the cashier then walked away. I will never return to this place.

I can’t really complain.
My family and I were visiting Ottawa again after having moved away about a decade ago.
We decided to try one of our old standard places by visiting here. It seems to be a new name, but it was mostly the same.
It’s not somewhere you go to experience fancy dining or anything, but for the price, it was more than acceptable. The food was plenty delicious, there was lots of choice, and everyone left with a full belly.

We were on a bus tour and unfortunately this was the place chosen by the tour company for our lunch.
Staff is very unfriendly and was rude with our guide not to say to us.
Food was not tasty as all, very poor choices and the waitress acted as if she was doing us a big favour.
Not worth at all. Big regret.
Definitely will not come back here.

This place is fantastic. I went there for lunch and they had a huge selection of food. Their dim sum had high quality and they used fresh ingredients to make it. The congee was smooth and well made. The texture of pineapple buns was great. It was a really soft bun. I especially like their egg tarts. I had four of those. This is the best buffet restaurant l ever had in Ottawa.

They have a decent selection of Chinese food which includes Dim Sum. The Japanese selection is awful. The edamame were soggy, the sushi was hard and the cocktail shrimp were questionable. If you enjoy simple real Chinese food, this is a good place to go.

I would give this place ZERO stars if I could… one of the worst buffet experiences in Ottawa by far. I came with my wife for lunch to witness fly and cockroach infested platters… gave us both shivers! Never have I seen such poor quality food standards. We did not bother dining after taking a stroll around the buffet stations. These people do not care about serving quality food or about your health for that matter. Sum you win, dim sum you lose, Yang Ming.

I go to this buffet all the time… but I only go during lunch because I love the dimsum… but recently they have changed some of their dimsum items like they took out the squid tentacles and the cuttlefish fish and replaced with an overly battered calamari… I hope they put those Two items back… service is great… the servers there already knows me and my family and them price is pretty reasonable

I went in for an early dinner today with a group and it was my first time here. The positives are that it is a large restaurant with a large selection of foods with the usuals like Singapore noodles, crispy chicken, and salad. The service was acceptable and it is spacious if you are going with a group. The downsides were that i found the food a little bland and some of the foods were a little more oily than I prefer for Chinese food. Some of my companions however enjoyed things like the crab and vegetarian soup. So all in all it must be a matter of taste whether you will like this place.

Your typical Chinese food buffet in Ottawa. This store is nice and has huge windows looking out towards Merivale Road. It is conveniently located and has good customer service. The food is good.

This place always have a lot of food. I love the shrimp on the skewers here. Servers are always available when you need them. Whenever we go there are a lot of customers there so it must be doing well. The only downside for this place is the bathroom. It’s not very well maintained.

When we first moved to Ottawa this was one of the first Chinese Buffet restaurants that we found and we have been going here now for the past 6 years. Its got a large selection of food and everything seems fairly fresh (as fresh as a buffet can be i guess). Anyways we like it and go there quite frequently, or at least when we are craving some Chinese buffet.

This place actually impressed me. There’s lots of variety and none of the food was bad like a lot of it is at other Chinese buffets. I enjoyed the rice, noodles, and taro bubble tea. Here’s the problem: for some reason, the worst behaved barbaric kids ever come here. I got pushed by kids twice, they’re also running around constantly, cutting in front of you and one kid actually leaned over and grabbed an egg roll (didn’t eat those.) and a kid snapped at me when I was trying to carefully pour my soup. I’d recommend this place, but those stupid kids can make getting your food a hassle.
