This is such a lovely café! It seems like they’re still trying to sort out their footing in the atmospheric department but the coffee, tea, and pastries are perfection– it’s impossible to figure out who the real star here is! Their filter beans vary from day to day and are always delicious. They also offer espresso based drinks pulled from the meanest looking machine and ~cold brew~(!!!). They have a pretty varied and exclusive selection of teas, including some allegedly originating from the gardens of Versailles. Finally, this café offers a myriad of pastries baked fresh daily that make time slow way down as you enjoy every little morsel. There’s a nice large table by the window for big meetings/study sessions and outlets by most seats. They also offer prepared sandwiches and drink options but I can’t really comment on them as I have yet to try any– though I will say that they stick out a bit in relation to the general vibe and delicate offerings otherwise available. Definitely worth checking out!

Amazing pastry shop with great coffee, their buche this Christmas season was one of the best I’ve had and that says a lot as we’ve tried quite a few the last few years from other great independent Montréal pastry shops. Their crocake is unreal as well, can’t wait to sample some of their other offerings. Very friendly owners and a great addition to the area.

Everything here is delicious and expertly crafted. An excellent neighbourhood café in N.D.G. The proprietor of this class act, Van, is one class act himself. From a scrumptious amandine to beautiful blueberry scones … from an expertly pulled espresso or cortado to an iced cappuccino made with love … you are guaranteed to find contentment and all earthly pleasures that can fit in your Marie Antoinette shaped face hole. Everything is meticulously prepared with the finest ingredients and panache. Van boasts that his selection of teas are made with flowers from the gardens of Versailles. Le Petit Trianon was completed in 1768 during the reign of Louis XV, it is a modest yet palatial château located on the grounds of the Palace at Versailles. The park of Le Grand Trianon includes Le Petit Trianon. Marie Antoinette was an Austrian bitch who loved to stuff all of her holes with the syrupy tears of the proletariat. Autrichienne is a French portmanteau that combines the words Austrian and bitch to form a perfect adjective for Marie Antoinette. She was an inbred monarchist from the Hapsburg hordes who managed to successfully subjugate a vast swath of humanity for an unduly long period of time. She stole millions from the French treasury and sent it back to Austria. Now that is some serious remittance. Fortunately she was tried by the Revolutionary Tribunal on 14th October 1793 and executed two days later. She got her comeuppance. Abolish monarchy now. Hey hey, ho ho, QE2 has got to go, hey hey, ho ho.

I walked in to the cutest little café on Sherbrooke. I had a croissant au beurre I had earl grey tea in a cute little tea cup I was extremely happy this place is the real deal — amazing butter croissants that are, well, buttery — not dried pieces of bread. Service was lovely with a very nice woman bringing us tea and yummies. Its worth the drive — I wasn’t even staying near Sherbrooke, I just read the reviews on Unilocal.Drive-there-now!!!

I walk by this place on my way to and from work every day and every time I have popped in for a coffee it’s not just the friendliest experience but also a DELICIOUS coffee. They make a fantastic latte!

Charming café in the Westmount neighbourhood. It’s conveniently located amidst many other shops and restaurants on Sherbrooke West. The café serves mainly coffee and baked pastries/desserts. They have a relatively smaller food selection but each one looks mouthwateringly delicious — éclairs, cakes, and of course their famous crocakes(croissant and cupcake hybrid). I ordered a small latte and crocake(flavour of the day was passion fruit). I’m usually not much of a coffee person but I have to admit the latte was very good. The crocake exceeded all my expectations — croissant part was nice and flaky while the filling offered a very sweet and refreshing taste. The barista was friendly and explained that they change up their crocake flavour every so often. Looks like I have to pay more visits in the future! Definitely a must-visit for avid café-crawlers! Highly recommend!

I thought i knew how an almond croissant tasted… until I came here! This pastry shop is amazing! The almond croissants, the regular croissants, and the petit trianons are all examples of culinary perfection. I also had a cappucino prepared by master barista Van Hien Dao. It was so good that I ordered another one!

Dominique Ansel, move over! so this new coffee shop opened last weekend in the heart of Westmount on Sherbrooke West, only a couple minutes walk from Vendôme metro station. the café is French inspired and very unassuming in its décor but don’t be fooled by it, what they offer is mouth smacking good! first of, coffee. they offer probably the best coffee in town, Dispatch Coffee. not only that, they have another option in Kittel Coffee, another local roaster. I don’t have to say that it’s some great coffee. but I wasn’t here for the coffee even though, it’s great that they have great coffee. no, I was here for the one and only crocake. what is a crocake you say? it’s the newest thing to hit this city and its a croissant-cupcake. if you thought cronuts were good, this is beyond it. the crocake of the day was peanut butter cream filled with caramelized popcorn topping. the crocake is moist, soft, warm, slight chewy and buttery. and then, the filling hits you. it’s creamy, subtle in peanut butter flavor and the caramel popcorn is crunchy and sweet enough. perfectly balanced and not cloying like cronuts. simply, it’s worth the trek to Westmount. not only that, you get a fidelity card which to be frank, it doesn’t need to as what I’ve tasted speak for itself. they have kouign amann amongst other pastries but I didn’t ask for it as the crocake was enough. i got there around 1030am and the pastry display wasn’t ready yet but you can ask them for what you want. mind you, wait time is around 5min. do I need to say more? OK, the pastry chef, co-owner, crafted her skill at Toqué while her fiancé(or husband) crafted his coffee skill at the likes of Pikolo. seriously, what are you waiting for? go now before the crocake hype fully hits Montréal!
