I am not sure what it is called on the menu that I ordered… everything is in French, and I merely pointed to the table across from me and said to the waitress, «I will have what she ordered.» The waitress laughed…
I came here for breakfast and really what I ate was eggs over easy that were cooked perfect, a pancake, baked beans with maple syrup, very good bread for toast and excellent ham, sausages and bacon along with fruit.
Fairly descent service… Great place to watch the locals !

If you are not a patient person, I recommend you to not go to this place. The food service is too slow and long line up. And also, since they don’t have English menu, if you are only english speaker, you might have hard time to choose from a big french menu as i was. :) There were too many different choices of food
For the food, i liked the breakfast platter. Was different, not like other breakfast places. It came with a Nice homemade ham and homemade creton! The Bread was so delicious but not the coffee… Coffee was so bad and burnt !!!
And the salmon bagel didn’t impress me, for 14 $ I expected more, it was so messy and bagel was too hard. Don’t eat this when you are on date :) too messy !
I liked the little decorations in the restaurant. It was cute place.
You should try and judge for yourself! I think it was too expensive for breakfast. But i have intention of going back and have the breakfast platter again

A peu près le seul endroit servant des rösti (pale imitation de l’original).niveau sonore très élevé.clientele:comme pour le service-n’importe quoi. toujours plein, mais ferme à 15h. essentiellement des omelettes… on retourne a l’occasion.

On est passé par hasard devant Grand Mère Poule en attendant le bus et on s’es dit qu’on reviendrait y manger !
Deux heures plus tard nous voilà, une petite table pour deux, une serveuse agréable et quelques longues minutes d’attentes pour un très bon brunch.
Il y a des prix très intéressants du lundi au vendredi de 6h à 9h pour les lève-​tôt !
Carte assez bien fournie et alléchante.
Quand on est partis vers 12h30, il y a une longue file d’attente pour déjeuner. La place semble assez prisée !

J’adore! J’irais plus souvent si je le pouvais. Tout est bon et savoureux. J’ai un petit faible pour leur rosti. Ils servent aussi de très bonnes omelettes. Et les portions sont généreuses. Par contre c’est un endroit très prisé et il faut soit arriver tôt soit faire la file

Service was slow and the meal took 1h before it came! A client order same time that we do and she have time to finish her meal then leave before I receive mine! And the manager came to say sorry that they made a mistake! The waitress did even have balls to come and say sorry by herself and they even change our waitress! So not professional!

It’s cute inside and much bigger than it looks on the outside. There was a line for Sunday brunch, but we moved at a steady pace and were seated in a while.
But sorry, I had not had coffee this terrible in a long time. I don’t know how they can make coffee this weak and tasteless, but they did. My friend and I immediately looked at each other and decided to order latte to help the situation, but sadly their latte was as bad.
Food was much better. My pancake was good, but the side was a bit too sweet. All was fine, but the really bad coffee was so bad that we had to go to a coffee house after this to re-​do our coffee part. Cannot recommend a brunch place when they don’t know how to make at least drinkable coffee.

La «reputation» de ce restaurant est complètement surfaite. Certes l’endroit est agréable, vibrant de divers personnages mais la nourriture servie est à peine mangeable! Les prix sont ridiculement chers, le service est atroce! Gens du quartier, sortez un peu de votre bled, et allez vous promenez, vous y ferais de merveilleuses découvertes… Plus jamais cette place…

Je né peux pas croire que la place soit aussi pleine avec la qualité de la nourriture qu’on sert ici. C’est probablement à cause du superbe site et des grandes fenêtres. Mais il y a un flagrant manqué de fraîcheur… Les fruits étaient précoupés, noircis et secs. J’ai trouvé une mouche à fruits dans le café. Cuisson inégale. Ça se sent que les cooks tournent les coins ronds. Service ordinaire et peu courtois… Elles avaient hâte que le monde décrisse…

J’avais testé La Grand-​Mère Poule sur Mont-​Royal et j’avais déjà bien apprécié. Celui-​ci est tout de même plus lumineux (très agréable pour un brunch de la fin de semaine) et mieux agencé. Le serveur qui s’occupait de nous était très sympathique, très drôle. Pour ce qui est du plat, je me suis laissée séduire par l’omelette aux épinards et chèvre, un vrai régal!
Bön moment à partager avec amis, famille…

Great place for breakfast. The bread (integral/​wheat) is really good. Well… maybe I am biased because i personally love the bread in Montrèal. I had the omelette with smoked salmon and it was great. I like the fact that they are willing to substitute some of the starches and sugars by a salad. The service is also excellent and most of the wait staff are ok with English speaking people (big plus). The place is across a nice park and the neighborhood looks nice and safe.
I had the salmon omelette and it came with a generous portion or very good smoke salmon and it was very tasty. The house chocolate cake is a simple homemade chocolate sliced bread with some type of of homemade nutella on top. I tried the nutella with the regular integral bread and it was very tasty.

Fantastic breakfast place — all day long. A large choice of different kinds of breakfast. Röstis are really good.
