Helios Makerspace

Helios Makerspace is a fabulous environment for building just about anything. They’re equipped with a full woodshop (table saw, drill press, etc), as well as two 3D printers and more. They do have a membership fee to use the space but I recently attended a workshop here organized by Bricobio: a microscope hacking workshop where I built my own digital microscope that uses my iPhone! It was AWESOME. So, I think they function as a community space as well for groups to use the facilities. I think they also participate in annual maker events in the city. Definitely worth checking out if you’ve got something you’re just dying to build but have nowhere to build it!
