I’ve got boobs AND money, so why didn’t anyone greet/ask if I needed help even ONCE during my 5−10min walk-through!!! I’m guessing the store is mismanaged based on the ratio of staff: customers. There were at least 8 sales associates and I was the only customer in the store mid-afternoon. A coupla girls, one who I assume was the greeter, were chatting away. I don’t mind chitchat amongst retail workers, but when NOONE is doing the greeting/asking if you need assistance, there is something wrong. I even said, «Hi» to a salesgirl who literally just rushed right by me. I could only assume she was too busy to help. I wanted to get measured and yes, perhaps even buy a bra, but I just left when I got the cold shoulder here.

Oh Canada, where are your manners?! I visited the Square One location of Victoria’s Secret today, looking to buy some new shape wear for under a slinky dress that I’m planning to wear tomorrow night. Upon entering the store, I walked past TWO staff who barely said hello to me(I believe that I may have been interrupting their conversation by walking between them). I walked all the way around the store before, alas, one kind young woman with some well developed customer service skills asked me if I had found what I’d been looking for. No was my obvious reply, since I hadn’t found the article I was looking for, nor anything remotely similar. She was able to help me locate exactly what I was looking for and sent me off to the fitting room. Once in the fitting room, I put on my garment, but couldn’t do it up, so I buzzed for assistance. By the time the fitting room associate arrived(I awkwardly waited several minutes), I had finagled things and resolve my challenges on my own. They didn’t have the exact colour in stock that I had been looking for, so the associate with the well developed customer service skills suggested that I ask the person who would ring me through to call a couple of other stores to see if they could find it. I went to the check out and paid for my item, and asked the guy if he could call some stores. He seemed rather annoyed, but obliged. One store didn’t answer, and he got a busy signal from the other. He looked at me and said, «Um, I can’t get through to any other stores, so how about I just give you the phone numbers and you can call yourself?» Listen, I don’t come to higher end stores, selling higher end products so that I can service myself. I paid a hundred bucks for an elastic band to wear under a dress, the least you can do is call a couple of stores for me. He gave me lots of push back when I asked if someone else would do the calling: «I couldn’t get through, so I don’t think another associate will be able to get through.» My answer: «So what makes you think I’ll be able to get through???» So frustrating. Personally, I think they need to implement an inventory system that would allow store to check on the on hand inventory in other stores. It would increase productivity, and save a lot of hassle and frustration. I have to say, that I visited several Victoria’s Secret stores in Georgia and California in the last few weeks, and the service i received was up here(hand in air as high as I can reach), but the service in Canada sucks(hand near my knee.)
