We’ve been searching for bridesmaid dresses all summer and this was by far the worst store we have been too. Actually, its the worst store i’ve ever been to period. I arrived for our SCHEDULED fitting a little early(as usual) When I walked in there was no one in sight so I called out«hello?» Nothing. Not a soul in the store. Since the door was unlocked though and we had an appointment I figured they must be open. So I took a seat and waited for my friends. I sat there for about 15 minutes and saw nobody. A lady walked in with a little girl looking for flower girl dresses and thought I worked there since I’m the only person in the store. I explained to her that I had a bridal appointment but hadn’t seen any employees around. Several minutes after this a listless employee shuffles upstairs to see what’s going on. When my friends arrived and we were excited to try on dresses the lone sales woman was completely unhelpful. It was like being served by a zombie. The dresses were not nice. Uninspired designs and cheap fabrics. The fitting rooms were icky; matter of fact the whole store was kind of icky. We tried on a couple of dresses but didn’t stay long. The zombie sales associate didn’t seem to worried about making a sale anyways.

After a pretty negative experience over at Josy’s Fashion down the road(see my review there for reference) my fiancée took her wedding dress over to Jean’s to inquire about getting it slightly altered. After our extremely negative experience at the other place, pretty much anything would have been a step up. Well Jean’s is certainly that and more. Jean greeted my fiancée right away and certainly made her feel welcome at her shop, a stark contrast to the way we were treated at Josy’s. Jean was very accommodating, happy to answer all the questions she had and made her feel like a valued customer, not a nuisance. Since our wedding isn’t until September, Jean told us to bring the dress back in around June and she would be happy to perform the alterations at that time. I’ll be sure to update this review(and perhaps add an extra star!) once the actual work is completed but for now we’re more than happy to recommend Jean’s for your wedding dress needs in Port Credit.
