Dastarkhwan

When I saw Dastarkhwan pop up on my list of delivery options, I was pretty excited. I’m in the area regularly for work and honestly, the choices in the past have been DISMAL. Anyway, Dastarkhwan has only been open a few months and I’m really hoping they make it because the food was pretty good!
Ordered: Chicken biryani, chana curry and roti. Know that they have a reasonable delivery minimum ($ 20) and that the prices are incredibly reasonable as well. First, the chicken biryani ($ 10 large, ordered to meet min.) is beyond huge in portion size. The container can easily feed 3 – 4 people — fortunately my hotel has in room refrigerators so I can enjoy the leftovers tomorrow. The dish itself was one of the better biryani’s I’ve had with good spice flavors and a decent amount of chicken. It was a tad oily, though.
The chana ($ 5) on it’s own was fairly dull (and a bit oily, again) but when combined with the biryani it was really, really good. The rotis are pretty standard — I think they are premade and heated up vs. being made to order. No matter– they were just fine.
I can’t speak to the actual restaurant because I ordered delivery which came on time (always appreciated). The delivery guy was nice and I enjoyed my dinner very much — looking forward to leftovers tomorrow night!

No doubt one of the best indian and pakistani food i ever had. specially the chicken tikka. very nicely prepared and right mix of spices. service is quick too. will go there more often now.
