I had the unfortunate experience of renewing my phone contract at this best buy store and it was a terrible mistake because their employees were so incompetent that they failed to set up my contract properly. This resulted in my phone being inactive for over a week, paying a monthly fee of double what I signed up for and wasting time on several phone calls to my provider in order to properly activate my phone which is what best buy was supposed to do. The sales associate I dealt with was Annesley and she was beyond rude to me and didn’t bother to answer any of my questions. I knew which plan I wanted and had called Bell to confirm the plan but she consistently argued with me saying that was not possible and she was not willing to call Bell to confirm the plan because she already knew it was not possible. Nevermind that every other sales associate next to me was calling each clients provider to try to get the best plan for their client, Annesley clearly did not care for her client or was just too lazy to make an effort because she«knew everything». That is clearly not what any customer looks for in a sales associate especially because she was wrong and I was able to get the plan Bell promised me after I independently called them and spent more time setting up my phone after I left the store. I even asked to deal with another sales associate at best buy because this Annesley was just so ignorant and rude to me but the manager brushed me off saying that everyone was busy. It is a shame that a somewhat decent store is hurt by one terrible employee because I have renewed my contract at this store previously and dealt with some very nice sales associates but after such a pointless ordeal where I was basically yelled at by a sales associate who did not set up my contract properly even after I put up with her rude service, I will never be visiting this store again. If Annesley had bothered to activate my phone properly despite being so rude and ignorant towards me I wouldn’t have minded but the fact that she could not even do the bare minimum of what she is expected to is clear that she should not be dealing with customers at all. My complaints to the manager were pointless, he didn’t bother to explain or apologize for the actions of his employee and instead just told me to come back in 3 days and he’ll set up my phone for me which just further wastes my own time. As long as bestbuy is hiring people like Annesley to work for them, I will not be purchasing anything at this store nor will I ever recommend it to anyone based purely on such terrible customer service. UPDATE: So I went to the store again due to an issue with my bluetooth on the phone not working and I was within my 14 day return policy. The manager«guaranteed» me that he would fix it and it would be working. Well 1.5 hours later and nothing was working. He then said well you should just go to the Apple store or return the phone which I could have done at the start instead of him wasting my time because he was sure he could fix it. Seriously don’t bother going to this store, the manager himself doesn’t know what he’s doing and is just as ignorant. I only went here because the phone was a $ 100 cheaper than other places but I would gladly spend the extra $ 100 at other stores and get good customer service than have to deal with this manager or his employee ever again.
