I came here recently to get a shellac manicure done. I bought a groupon a few months back. The staffs here are quite friendly and efficient. I made an appointment for 4pm and it didn’t take long for me to be served. The only critic I have is the lack of color choices. They didn’t even have the color swatches like other places have it. Regardless, the service was good and my nails were done quite well.

The welcome at the front desk was not very warm. Although the young girl who did my nails was very nice, I dont think she was very experienced. The top coat she used was different for either hand so my shellac manicure ended up shiny on the right hand and matte on the left– not too impressed. Also when it was time to leave the cashier disappeared so I had to wait for a long time and they couldn’t provide me with exact change or a receipt. Don’t think I would make the trip there again.

I saw this deal on Groupon and thought it was a great deal for the price I would pay regularly. So I bought the deal and decided to call 221 to make an appointment. The moment I called, this lady picked up the phone, she seemed to be in a rush. I had asked if she had any appointments for that day or the following week. She told me she was too busy at the moment to make me an appointment and to call back on Monday (I called on Saturday). Right away I was completely thrown off. I get maybe she was busy with a client at that moment and there may not have been anyone to check the appointment availability (which I still think is rude). But to have her tell me to call back a couple days later just to make an appointment?! I asked why I need to call back 2 days later and she said «I am busy, can’t help you right now».
I didn’t even bother to say bye because it seemed like she wasn’t even on the phone.
I went back on Groupon and got a refund.
That is ridiculous. Yes I may have been paying way less for the services BUT that doesn’t mean customer service has to be horrible!
Never again!

Huge mistake to buy a year of laser hair removal sessions from them.
See below what I go through every time.

BOOKING:
They can book me every month and a half or two months, complaining how busy they are.
RE-​BOOKING
If I call ahead to re-​book, they frown on the phone and book me a month and a half later. After which they make me feel like they are doing me the biggest favor.
TREATMENT
I get an irritation after every session. Their laser burns my skin, as they set it too strong — probably to get my appointment over with sooner. They re-​use the gel transferring from one arm to the other and scraping my irritated skin with a wooden spatula. At the end, they give you a rough cloth to wipe yourself with.
RESULTS
Well booking me only every 2 months, you can imagine there are none.
The best part, they keep on trying to sell me more sessions for more areas.
THEY ARE A BIG JOKE. It’s mainly just the overload of estrogen in that place.
ONLY BENEFIT
all their attitude, drama and arrogance toughens customer’s character.

They are definitely nice there but my hot stone massage basically consisted of 15 minutes lying on my stomach waiting for esthetician, 15 minutes her finding a massage oil that she ‘liked’, actual 15 minutes of massage and then 15 minutes to get changed, which I obviously didn’t need. Manicure and pedicure were good though!

I’ve been here twice now. Once in the winter and once just the other day.
What impressed me straightaway was when I came through the door on my recent visit, the owner recognized me and welcomed me back. I was so surprised she’d remembered me from my one time in over 6-​months before. Really nice. Later I saw the lady that provided my treatments the first time I was there as well and she also remembered me and welcomed me. This type of friendly and caring service wins the establishment an extra star in my book.
On both visits I went in for a package of Hot Stone Massage, Manicure, and Pedicure. Both of the ladies that provided my treatments were lovely.
Something I really like here is the treatment room. It’s decorated in wood, spacious, and has a shower stall in the room. The music is relaxing and set to a perfect volume.
My only gripe about 221 is that the walls are thin so while on the table, there were times during both visits that it got pretty noisy which kind of sucks when you are trancing out and enjoying the massage. Oh well.
Both times I was overall pleased and look forward to my next visit.
