Winners is downgraded version TJ Maxx or Marshalls they are all owned The TJX Companies Inc. I shopped several almost exclusively in the US for almost 20 years and was regularly able to find good quality brand name clothing in average sizes but not at Winners. This store in particular has a lot of unheard of weird style low quality poseur type clothing(especially denim) that has has one or more characteristics that would seem to explain why it wound up at Winners. They know what they are doing so I would assume their inventory reflects the buying tastes of the more recent demographic moving into Milton. They likely are their main customer base as the old time residents would seem to tend to prefer plain jane practical clothing. Their shoe selection makes me wonder why they even bother. Don’t even think of trying to get something like a coat or jacket unless you are prepared to take whatever they have. From time to time they get some good brand name active/gym sports wear that sells out fairly quickly. The cash lineup can get long but they work hard to correct it by bringing on additional staff when that happens.

It’s pretty cool I mean they have some cheap things compared to the actual brand’s pricing. Basically like a thrift store but a little fancier. I’ve found some rather funky articles in this facility, let me tell you. Don’t shop for more than an hour though or you might shrivel up and die of boredom.

The T.J. Maxx(or T.K. Maxx if you’re in Ireland) of Canada. Winners is actually owned by the same company as T.J. Maxx(TJX Companies), but if you’ve ever been inside a T.J. Maxx and then Winners, it’s pretty obvious. The layout and products are basically the same! Winners offers high quality brands at an extremely discounted price in clothing, dish-ware, shoes, furniture, organic and unique food, beauty products, and home decoration. Now, I am not a brand junkie or anything, but I’ve personally found that name brand clothing(like Guess jeans, for example) just FIT better, last longer, and are just higher quality. So if I can get a $ 120 pair of Guess jeans for $ 15, not only will I, but I’ll will be forced to restrain myself from jumping up and down in the store. Not everything is worth the price tag, but some(if not most) are, and it’s absolutely worth a moment of your time to stop in and browse. The only other thing I have to add is that every Winners has mostly the same selection, but some have things the others do not. For example, this Winners is pretty good all around, but the Winners on Matheson Blvd has mens designer suits! Basically my policy is, if we’re in a town and pass a Winners, assuming we have time, we almost always stop in for at least a browse. It’s almost like high brow thrift shopping.
