Check-In: Slow but smooth and problem free. One girl working the front and intakes one at a time manually. Room: Pretty standard. 1 queen bed, bathroom, tv. It did the job. We stayed one night for a wedding block. Clean. Price: $ 110 for one night in the middle of Milton. Not a good price, you can stay at Niagara Falls for $ 99 one night with vouchers to nearby restaurants and activities. Absolute zilch for this random location. If it weren’t for a wedding block here, we would not have stayed. Overall: Meh. Not worth the price, but it’ll do. Avoid the restaurant as all costs. Seriously, go to the Timmies or the McDonalds around the corner. Tastes better and costs less. See my review on Allison at the Best.

Went: Saturday, September 5, 2015, 7:45 p.m. to Monday, September 7, 2015, 10:15 a.m.(75⁄100) I was at the Cairns Croft Best Western in Niagara Falls a month ago. This one was better and less expensive. I pre-booked this one earlier in the week on Expedia and it was $ 239 total for 2 nights. The hotel gets a lot of business. I don’t know why to be honest. We were here for the hiking, but it does not seem like there is a lot to do around here otherwise. Minor pet peeves: * The hot water knob squeaks. * The elevator door was really slow to open. A little more annoying: * The fridge was not cold. We called the front desk about it and she said adjust the knob in the fridge. There is no knob. She said she would get someone to come up. 15 minutes later nothing. I called back. She said she would come up herself after a change in shift 5 minutes from now 15 minutes later. Called again. A different front desk person says the fridge button is on the outside of the fridge and we figured it out. We called back to say it was okay and not to send anyone up. I doubt whether anyone would have ever come up anyway. It takes trouble to adjust that mini-fridge knob at the back so it should have been set at a reasonable setting in the first place. It was getting late and we did not really want to be wait to be interrupted, so I wished the service was a little more attentive here. * The coffee-maker did not work properly, but to be fair, we did not call about it, as the interruption would outweigh our desire for coffee. * The restaurant was closed for repairs and on Sunday, so they gave out coffee and pastries for the inconvenience, but it went quick. I hope people who had some sort of free breakfast were adequately compensated. On Labour Day Monday, there was nothing at all, which did not leave a good impression, even if we weren’t entitled to anything. * They did this thing where they put some sort of hold on my credit card for $ 200. I heard most places do not do this. I just do not want the inconvenience of fighting charges. With the above being said, the room was nice and clean and there were no other complaints, which is more than I can say for other hotels we’ve stayed at. I give my experience at 3.5 stars and round it up to 4.0. I’d even recommend it to people. I don’t think I’m ever coming back, but I’d stay here again. Different food and destinations you might want to experiment with for variety, but I am not sure about hotels. ;)

It may not be the fairest way to rate a hotel, but first impressions say a whole lot. You can’t deny that. And I can’t deny this Best Western a good review. When I checked in today, I was greeted very warmly by a woman at reception. When I got to my room, it had all the amenities I needed(hairdryer, large tv, coffee maker, clean mugs, fridge, microwave, WIRELESS, well-made bed, clean bathroom). Then they called a half-hour into my stay to see if everything was to my liking. Maybe Canadians are really that much more hospitable? idk… I was glad to see a restaurant also attached to the hotel. I’ll have to check it out during my stay. There was a large group of people there tonight and some other patrons, so it looks to be a nice spot. The menu doesn’t look too shabby either… breakfast served all day or maybe you’d like some prime rib… =) I’m pretty confident w/my pre-departure rating of this hotel. Let’s hope it doesn’t fail me.
