Crystal Fountain Event Venue

After visited 13 potential wedding venues, groomzilla and I have finally settled down with Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall :) We held our wedding back in August 2015 and had around 260 guests in the smaller of the 2 halls. We can even fit in a photobooth comfortably!
One of the venue criteria was high ceiling. This one has an amazing 24 foot ceiling. Only 2 venues in Markham had that height and only 1 venue had the highest of 30 feet. But please note, most wedding backdrops can’t go that high… usually 21 – 22 feet. So, Crystal Fountain was absolutely perfect for us.
I also love the warm beige and romantic décor inside the venue. The chairs they use were champagne chiavari chairs. Seriously, you do not need any chair covers… they are SO beautiful the way they are!
As for food, we did Chinese catering with Grand Catering. They are absolutely fantastic. 10 – 12 courses and very affordable. They are one of the preferred Chinese wedding caterers for Crystal Fountain.
We also upgraded our open bar to serve premium liquor for a bit more $$. Totally worth it :) Bartenders and servers were fantastic keeping our guests happy ;) Oooo but we didn’t go with the dessert buffet table from Crystal Fountain, so we saved a bit of $$. I had it before at another wedding hosted here and it was plentiful… but since we did Chinese catering and seriously by the 8^th-​10^th course, I think people were stuffed lol. We went with gelato for dessert instead: D
Lovely venue. I would highly recommend it. It is located on 14^th Avenue (between Kennedy & Warden)… great Markham location. Private parking lot with lots of parking. George and his team were fantastic… on top of things, straight forward, no time wasted. Thank you so much for all your help!

Note to brides — it is okay if you don’t have a wedding planner. Just be sure to have a wedding day coordinator! My wonderful coordinator, Helen, deals with the venue, all the vendors, schedule run-​down, set ups and payments… it will make your special day smooth sailing and hassle-​free! Happy wedding planning ^_^

Extremely rude service. Server was extremely mean… Made a mistake on the number of entrees given… and still insisted that the right number was given, even after proven wrong, no apologies received and even continued to accuse us of having extra entrees… Complained to manager, who also didn’t seem to care about the poor service received… Will definitely not recommend any future business to this venue…

We held our wedding at this venue in June 2015. We had about 300 guests. The food there was excellent. The portions were large in size compared to other venues I have attended in the past. We ordered mixed green salad, roast beef with potatoes and vegetables, penne a la vodka pasta and a dessert of our choice. Each table also had an assortment of buns which were very fresh as well. In addition to this, they provided us with a whole sweet table set up around the beautiful fountain filled with fruit and desserts for all of our guests to enjoy. We also received an antipasto buffet set up on the dance floor which included an abundance of appetizers.
The team at Crystal Fountain were very organized and helpful when it came to helping us plan our wedding. We had a great time!
Just a side note: Our relatives have also hosted several events such as bridal showers, weddings, baptisms, etc at this venue for over a decade now and we have never been disappointed.

Went for a wedding in late August. Staff seemed lethargic and uninterested in anything.
Bartender seemed unhappy he was there and didn’t say a word to me when I ordered my drink. Wait staff barely smiled as they did their job. While the service itself was good, the customer service levels and attitude were poor.
Venue itself is pleasant and clean.

Just your average banquet hall. Surprisingly very large when you enter. It has two dinning halls on the first floor. Each on can accommodate about 400 – 600 guests.
There is also a second floor, but I didn’t go upstairs to see how many rooms are there.
The actual crystal fountain inside the venue is actually very underwhelming.
More parking spaces are on the side of the building, so arrive early if you want to get a good spot.
Staff is average. Food is average.

I went there many times. It is pretty good place for weddings and parties. I would highly recommend it for your upcoming event:))

I went here for a wedding last week, and I must say the food is not bad. The appetizer was salad and soup, entrée included chicken, beef and potatoes and dessert included vanilla ice-​cream in a circle style. The chicken was a bit dry but the beef was delicious. The bartenders had the drinks watered down for some reason. So, not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. For a venue that’s called Crystal Fountain, the fountain in the venue was not that amazing. Overall, the venue looked nice, but lighting was a bit dark especially in the front of the area.
