Vlad’s Apiary

Valdimir Cukor produces a nice variety of honeys, bees wax candles, and pollen which are available at various farmer’s markets around town. During the summer you can normally find his products at the West End Farmer’s Market each Saturday, and sometimes at the Kitsilano Famer’s Market on Sundays. During the winter you can occasionally spot his products in the day vendor area of Granville Island.
The creamed alfalfa honey has a mild flavour and spreads nicely on toast or scones. The buckwheat honey is really strong, and tastes almost like molasses. It is great for baking. The fireweed honey is really buttery and great for using in a glaze.
If you see his products snap them up — they are hard to find!
