Uber Cool Stuff

When looking for gifts for friends, this is always my first stop. It’s such a cool spot for geeky, funky and fun gifts, and I always spot about ten new things I want for myself, as well.
The prices aren’t bad and the selection is always changing as they get new items in. The staff are always very friendly and helpful when you have questions, too.

I won’t make this long as it doesn’t need to be.
They probably deserve a 4 star, but I realistically can’t give it because I don’t frequent here enough and purchase from here enough.
They are a small shop that sells unique pieces of glassware, socks, kitchenware, houseware, NickNacks that are cool for gifts or yourself, usually relating to video games or quirky things.
The staff are always exceedingly helpful and polite.
The Selection is always great and unique.

It is one of the first places I go to when looking for a gift for friends as they have unique things. Worth a shot.

As a boardgamer, I had to stop and check out this place. Excellent stock of boardgames. The owner was very knowledgeable about games and the geek universe. He gave thoughtful advice about alternate games I could purchase for my 12-​year old daughter. This is an great resource for boardgamers in London. If you’re a gamer, definitely stop buy and get a game or two.

You know when you see those sweet geeky gadgets online and your like «man, I wish I knew a place that sold these!», well look no further, this is it!
Über Cool Stuff has everything from board games, to cool toys, to art, to kitchen wares. I really like to come here when I’m stuck for a gift and want to get someone something really cool and unique. I’ve purchased salt and pepper fooseball players, a bbq skewer that has the handle of a sword, and pot holders that look like records.
The owner of this store is very active on twitter which is really nice when you need to ask about anything. The store is also attached to a vintage clothing store which has some pretty cool stuff.
I do find Über Cool Stuff to be a bit expensive. However, I haven’t compared their prices to stores online (plus shipping costs) so it may end up being on par.
Either way, if you are looking for a spot to find some cool stuff for a friend or you want to get something fun for your house, go here, you wont be disappointed.

Über Cool Stuff has exactly that: Über Cool Stuff! From art prints, nerdy gadgets to the crème for me which is the board games section. Chris does a great job of stocking a wide range of newer titles and classics despite not having the space to really carry all too much at once.
He also has given some great opinions and recommendations that has made my collection grow without me even trying… Hang on a second! That’s pretty sneaky. I’m on to you… OOH new shiny, must have! (Okay that might be my acquisition disorder and not Chris’s fault at all in the end.)

Every time I move to a new place I try to find ‘my store’…you know… the kind of cool, local gift shop that you always end up browsing when you’re in the area even if you aren’t looking for anything specific. Über is that kind of place for me in London!
Über occupies half of a shop shared with Jackpot Vintage. You can access it through the vintage store off Dundas or come in it’s cute storefront on the less-​populated Carling St. The store specializes in ‘geek’ wares, boardgames, designer toys, and cool home goods. They’ve got fun posters, every kind of strange nerdy kitchen gadget you could ever want (nose-​shaped pepper mill? Ninja-​men cookie cutters? They have it!), and fun knick-​knacks for your office or home. They’ve even got a rack of funny socks.
