Residence Inn by Marriott London Downtown

Of all the hotels to choose from in London, Ontario, we decided to stay at the Marriott Residence Inn. There is above ground, under ground, as well as street parking. Parking at the hotel incurs a fee. I saw some broken glass on the street near some of the street parking spots, so be careful with the possessions in your cars.
The hotel rooms are pretty nice. I’m always impressed when a hotel room has a decent sized kitchen. It came in handy when we had dinner leftovers that we wanted to re-​heat the following morning. The hotel room is large enough to hold two closets, a small kitchen, a living area with couches and a desk, a bed with TV and TV stand, and a decent sized bathroom. I could have stayed in bed all day, because London is so exciting. The room includes free internet access. They have both wired and wireless options available.
Breakfast is included in the morning. When I was there, there must have been some sporting event going on, or they house students here because there were tons of students in the breakfast room who smelled like… students. The breakfast options are pretty good. They include juice, coffee, eggs, sausages, hash browns, potatoes, various breads that you can toast.
I was impressed with the hotel overall. I wouldn’t mind staying here again if I ever make it out to exciting London, Ontario again.

When I walked in to check in the young man at the counter was on a personal call. As I waited to be greeted he discussed his work schedule to plan his social life. I travel constantly & internationally and I have never not been greeted when entered an hotel. This was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Wonderful, updated rooms with granite counter topped kitchens and bathrooms. Swivel-​mounted flatscreens. Large beds with clean sheets and firm mattresses.
The Marriott Residence is about as good a hotel as you could possibly find for the price (or for any price, really).

Great downtown location. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Rooms spotless. Like having your own apartment. Recommended!!!

Stopped here for the night on our cross country road trip after getting a good rate on Priceline. This hotel is GORGEOUS. Spacious, clean, and outfitted like a full apartment. I would highly recommend staying here. The bathroom was very nice as well. The staff were fantastic. This hotel also has a really great fitness center and laundry room, both of which we used. There are some above ground parking spaces and more underground (both for a fee). I would come back and stay here in a heartbeat.
