Really enjoying all the goodies I’ve been getting here. Friendly service & very helpful.

I am hesitant to judge OW harshly… the lady that started the café has passed away and it seems they have not found their groove yet. A number of items on their board are not available. So going with a standard was easier. I ordered a Chocolate Raspberry cupcake and a large coffee. The server was very friendly and nice. The cupcake was tasty and didn’t taste gluten free. The coffee is O-Joe which is out of Mt Brydges. The front of the business is quite bright and cheery. The back seemed dark which put me off… The wifi was pretty low so I gave up on that. Seemed to be a large selection of breads and treats! I will return I think, once this business has had sometime to find their way. Great premise for a business!

This was our first time at this gluten-free bakery and café. To be honest, we’re never sure what to expect when many of the items are advertised as ‘vegan’. But since we choose to eat gluten-free, we figured we’d give it a try and we are so happy we did. We each had iced mochas made with coconut milk and they were delicious. Not too sweet, with a nice coffee flavour and just the right amount of creaminess. We shared two of the baked goods and enjoyed both. The coconut cranberry bar had a crunchy base made with oats and was topped with a generous amount of dried cranberries and coconut. The maple oakcake was like a really thick, dense oatmeal cookie with a gingery flavour and filled with pieces of dried fruit. It was topped with a chocolate drizzle. Delicious! The décor is fairly rustic with a bit of an unfinished look, but it’s clean and bright and airy. The free wifi was a definite plus! Both of the ladies serving us were friendly and very helpful. We’ll definitely return here anytime we’re in London.

I’ve shopped here many times and ate a couple different things. I really like the unique spin they have on some of their breads but overall i feel the prices are slightly high. Although there is a lot of organic or gluten free products, some of them can be bought at General grocery stores and markets for similar prices. I still like this place and will shop here but you can find some of the same products at other places for the same price or cheaper.

Vegan-Friendly Establishment. The Bakery itself is entirely 100% Vegan, 100% Gluten Free and free of common allergens. This is a very commendable objective to achieve and I think it’s great. They have a variety of healthy cookies, bars and cupcakes and they also offer some more for the sweet tooth. I’m part of the latter category and I can state that I love their sweets. I enjoy the cake, the cupcakes, the cookie dough chocolate cookie is amazing and my favourite thing of all is the Chocolate Chip cookies that come in take-away bags. I’ve never had a cookie so amazing outside of freshly baked. They carry a variety of baked goods to go in display and take-away bags. They have a decent size grocery section as well that specializes in everything from: Allergen free, Vegan, Diabetic friendly chocolate. Love this place! Also they offer a deal where you spend $ 25 and receive a free loaf of bread, I thought that was nice/neat of them all things considering.

I love Organicworks and take any opportunity I have to go there. Even my friends who turn their noses up at the phrase«gluten free» like it. Most of the food is genuinely delicious. Some of it might have some ingredients that the average person isn’t used to consuming, however. For someone who can’t have gluten, this place is a literal haven. That being said, I think that this kind of place appeals most to middle to upper class citizens who can afford to spend 10 – 15 dollars on a lunch that isn’t comprised of filling foods like French fries. The portions aren’t big compared to some generic chain like Kelsey’s, and maybe that’s a good thing. My personal favourites from the café include the turkey breast sandwich, waffles(breakfast), and the vegan Benedict(breakfast). Personal favourites from the bakery include Nanaimo bars, cookies, and cakes. However, I do think that I’ve had better gluten free cupcakes elsewhere.

Refreshing to go to a restaurant where we have no concerns about feeding our 4 year old with celiac disease. The food was good, although you can still tell that it is gluten free. Baked goods were delicious.

I generally try to find the good in everything, and some of my favourite restaurants are total holes-in-the-wall, but I’m so confused why people like this place. 1) It’s a very confusing set up. There’s SOMUCHSTUFF in there, there’s not any real clear indication of if you’re supposed to form a queue, or what. And the menu is very hard to read. Once you get through that, you find a seat in what appears and feels to be a furniture showroom. It’s so cluttered and the tables are massive… and… 2) Everything is so dirty. I get that it’s a cafeteria style serve yourself type of place, but the times I’ve been there, there was no one bussing the tables or making sure tables got wiped down and dishes got cleared away. There were a ton of dishes on every table, and the place mats were filthy, so I put mine to the side, only to uncover a mass of gross crumbs underneath. 3) I ordered the vegan taco salad, which was the strangest taco salad I’ve ever had. A taco salad should be something you can eat like a SALAD — hence the name — but this was huge chunks of lettuce, huge, uncrushed tortilla chips and a couple piles of stuff in the middle. There was literally no way to eat this like a salad. I scooped up toppings and put it on chips, but then there was the lettuce which was just massive… it should be shredded or in otherwise bite-size pieces. I had like 20 chips left over on my plate after I was done with the toppings, because the ratio of chips to toppings was so off… there really wasn’t much there. Which leads me to… 4) Price. My «taco salad» was $ 12!!! It was honestly a handful of store-bought chips, some Dole bagged lettuce, and a couple scoops of Tofutti sour cream, guac and maaaybe 1 tbsp daiya vegan cheese. The ingredients of this«salad» were like, $ 2, tops. I left feeling very, very hungry and ripped off. My husband’s tofu scramble was so confusing, as well… it was blended tofu(?) with black beans in it. Not like any tofu scramble I’ve ever seen or heard of. Quite bland as well. We kept saying, it’s like someone made a tofu scramble or a taco salad without ever having seen what those things should be/look like/taste like. Very strange. 5) I have really enjoyed the cupcakes I’ve got from there in the past, but holy moly, some of the baked goods are just really awful. The cinnamon bun is practically inedible and you could probably break a window by chucking one of those things at it. Maybe it’s because I’ve had the pleasure of eating in some top-notch eateries around the world, but… I really can’t see the appeal ATALL. Normally I can look the other way at a few grievances, but there really isn’t much to draw me back to visit again.

Gluten free is more expensive in general but I still found the portions a little small for how much you pay. The bakery has some pretty delicious items; I’d recommend them but I wouldn’t buy them very much because of the prices. Otherwise, it is a nice place with a good feel and everything I have had there has been quite enjoyable.

Organic Works has a good selection of organic and gluten-free products. The staff person who helped us wasn’t overly friendly and made some rather unprofessional comments to the customer before us regarding the quality of some of their items. However the brownie and piece of banana cake we got were very good — in fact the most«normal» tasting gluten-free goodies I’ve ever tried!

I used to love this place when I first discovered it. However, over time I found ‘Organic’ Works to be fake, pretentious, and over priced. I was told by a former employee that the only ingredients that are actually organic are the flours they use for baking. Speaking of which, they don’t use any natural preservatives in their baking. Once opened, your $ 7 loaf of bread will grow mould after one day. The portion sizes are small and expensive, making you think you’re getting quality ingredients. You’re not. If you choose to eat here, beware of the awkward owner. Last time I was there, he interrupted my conversation to ask how everything was. When I told him my true feelings, he did not know how to respond and simply mumbled about organic prices being high. Too bad most of your food isn’t actually organic, buddy. I’m generally a positive and easy going person, but I wanted to share this story to help others avoid the mistake of thinking this place is legit. Hard to believe with a name like ‘Organic’ Works. I am a strong supporter of local businesses, but not when they are solely in the business for making as much money as possible under false pretenses.

As a newly minted food allergy maven Organic Works has helped me ease into the transition. Amazing gluten free bread(I love the straight rice flour bread, sliced thinly), loads of great menu items, shelves stocked high with food alternative after food alternative. I can’t rave enough this spot. I am incredibly grateful for the generous and courageous owners who opened this restaurant/bakery/market extraordinaire!

Excellent food(can’t even tell it’s gluten-free). Good coffee, though I didn’t enjoy the coconut milk cappuccino that I was recommended. The coconut milk was a little burnt and not foamy. This is a great place to get work done. Lots of big tables available.

This café doesn’t have an extensive lunch menu — it has just a handful of soups, salads and sandwiches — but what it does, it does well. On my first visit I had a delicious beet and sprout salad with a roasted turkey sandwich. The bread slices were small, but had such a hearty taste from the buckwheat! And the turkey was in big roasted chunks, making for one amazing sandwich. The bakery is totally nut-free, which was really excited to discover. It’s not often that I can actually eat treats from bakeries! So I made sure to take advantage of this fact and buy many things: banana oat bites, macaroons, multi-seed bars, and a loaf of buckwheat chia bread, all of which I really enjoyed. I also want to comment on the ambiance, which is so cozy and inviting! There are mismatched sets of tables and chairs, so you can choose whether you’d prefer to eat at a small table for two, in plush arm chairs by the window, or at a big family style table in the middle. It’s perfect for groups of all sizes! I can definitely see myself hanging out here a lot during the school year with some tea and a treat to help get me through my studying!

This bakery specializes in organic, Vegan, and gluten-free goods. The seating area is really charming; there are plenty of cozy sofas and armchairs alongside an assortment of tables and chairs designed to make you feel at home in your kitchen(surrounded by delicious smells for added perks). I bought gluten-free cupcakes, date squares, and raisin bread. Everything was good, but I highly suggest you eat or freeze gluten-free baked goods as soon as possible. They tend to dry out more quickly. Local artwork and friendly staff make this my new favorite coffee stop/bakery destination in London. Everything was very clean and they stock a large amount of specialty products in addition to their wide variety of baked goods.
