Everyone’s a critic I guess but when we came here for dinner the pasta was too salty and flavor of pizza was over powered by a taste I was not fond of. Will not return.

Overall, good service and the food is very traditional to Italian cuisine. They also serve some interesting dishes along with great deserts. I really have an appreciation for restaurants that serve Grappa. It is important as an Italian restaurant. I live right next door and hope to continue to utilize this great space. At the end, the manager came over and let me know that my gelato was on the house tonight. It’s not my birthday, and these individuals want to do a good job. Outstanding visit, great support for this London eatery.

Maybe trying my first visit at Dolcetto on a Saturday was not a good idea since it was busy. Everything I ordered was potentially a good dish but they fell short on flavour. I started with the calamari salad which was bland– only slightly salvaged by pickled onions to counter the heavy amount of olive oil. The main was the«fish of the day» which was crab cakes on a bed of salad which had too much raw julienned cabbage and again lacked flavor and the crab cakes just fell apart into tiny flakes that I couldn’t even taste the crab. The waitress was pleasant but did not replace my water because of a tiny bug in the glass until 15 minutes later I asked another waitress to do it. And bringing a wedge of lemon for my fish arrived when I finished eating. And lastly, I decided to order the cannoli which did not taste good. I thought the flavor was comparable to bad ricotta. The restaurant is beautiful and had a great patio and atmosphere. I might return to just grab a drink.

Feel like Italian, but don’t want the traditional chain restaurant«all you can eat salad and breadsticks» experience? Dolcetto is worth a try. Fresh ingredients, an approachable wine list, excellent service and a really great patio add up to a nice experience. The fried risotto balls are a must try item. All of their pastas are fantastic, but my favourites are the gnocchi and risotto. The pizzas are also very good. They also make one heck of a veal parmesan. Very kid friendly, they give«silly strings» for the young ones to play with and have a decent kids menu. I’m not usually a fan of restaurants in the burbs’ but this is worth checking out if you find yourself in this corner of the city.

We chose this restaurant due Unilocal reviews. My husband was craving Italian and I wanted to make sure it was quality. We weren’t disappointed. After learning all the pasta was made in-restaurant I ordered Papperdalle pasta(wide egg noodles with a traditional lamb sauce) and my husband ordered Lasagna. Both dishes were very fresh & tasty. For dessert I ordered a cannoli and my husband, mint chocolate gelato. The cannoli was not the typical bakery version I was expecting. It used a chunkier ricotta with chocolate shavings that overflowed the cannoli shell onto the plate. It was great in its own rite but I still prefer the original version. We would eat there again on another trip to London.

This restaurant has fantastic Italian fare. We tried samples of most of the major dishes. I loved the Lasagna, the Chicken Napolitana and the Canolies. We have absolutely no complaints. The owner of the restaurant personally delivered our order to our house! And he would have had to drive from one end of London to the other. This was at the request of a friend of ours in Texas. I had just lost my Mother recently and our friend put this order in to help us get over her death. Great food and great service. It’s hard to say anything more.

If you are in London, Ontario or even close to there you HAVE to go to this restaurant! I called them from Texas to have a meal delivered to a friend there in London. They don’t normally do deliveries but they helped me create what sounds like an amazing dinner for my friend AND the owner is delivering it personally. Now… THAT’S the kind of restaurant you want to support!!!

Great place on the new upcoming west end area! Awesome décor inside this resto which makes it a nice touch compared to the normal run of the mill style resturaunts in the city. HUGE patio for relaxing with a cold beverage. Food menu is Italian hence the name, great pasta dishes and a must have meat and cheese platter which is huge and comes with jellys, infused cheeses etc. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pros — location for west london dwellers, staff Cons — loud, can hear everything like it’s right beside you.

First the positives. The atmosphere is lovely and the patio is one my favourites! Friends and I often frequent Dolcetto for a catch up over their delicious sangria. I should mention that service is excellent as well. As for the food, one word, awful. I have yet to have a good meal here. At first I assumed it was just a bad day. The second time I thought maybe it was my choice, but I have finally come to terms with the fact that food is not a reason to come here. Last night I ventured to Dolcetto for my birthday dinner purely because the location is close to home and we were in the mood for a patio night. First, our server Lindsay was lovely, as was the bar tender who provided an extra birthday shot for me. Knowing the food is often hit and miss, minus the hit, my bf and I decided on the fettuccine Alfredo. Our rational was if «michelinas» can pull of a microwaveable dish that’s ok, then Dolcetto should be able to pull this off as well. We were terribly wrong. My first bite tasted like plain pasta. I asked for more sauce, but realized quickly that this was equivalent to adding water to the dish. There was absolutely zero seasoning to the sauce. Furthermore the chicken was so very over cooked. I immediately had it packaged up in hopes to add some of my own Alfredo sauce at home and salvage my $ 18 pasta dish. Our server could see my disappointment and brought us out a desert to share. Truthfully I would have preferred the pasta removed from my bill. So will I return? Sadly, likely. As I mentioned I love the patio and sangria here, but never will I make the mistake of eating here again.

Thanks Dolcetto! We attended your wine and new menu item tasting last evening, it was excellent. The gentleman and his wife who spoke about the wine really knew their stuff and were very entertaining. The wine and new food items were superb. It is so great to have you in the neighbourhood. I went by Dolcetto multiple times without checking it out. It wasn’t until my boss decided to have lunch with me there that I actually went in. First glance it looks beautiful. Lovely wooden décor and a friendly atmosphere. The staff was pleasent and friendly. They start you with some water right away(which I love) and give you bread and olive oil for a pre dinner snack. I’ve gone for breakfast and dinner and both times were amazing. For breakfast I got blueberry pancakes and they were some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. For dinner I had the soup of the day and one of their pizzas with Bruschetta for an app. Delish fresh ingredients are always used. Whether you are interested in lunch breakfast or dinner, this is a great place to try out if you like Italian food!

First the positives, this is a large restaurant that accommodated our party if 10. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, and the desserts were decent. Otherwise, this was a pretty terrible meal. The restaurant was so smokey from(?) burning cheese. The tomato sauce, artichokes and olives clearly came from a can. The pastas were decidedly uninspired. Overall, it was not worth the more than expected cost of the meal.

The service is as great as the food here. Pizzas are amazing, flat bread, authentic Italian and there are always new and seasonal features for people like me who visit the restaurant often! Love going here for dinner and sitting on the patio in the summer but the food is great for all weather.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Even better sangrias! Try the meat/cheese antipasto app — it’s outstanding. Can’t wait to go back !

Well let’s start off with this, I should of brought an ATM machine with me to the restaurant… our waitress was very new and shy as she didn’t understand the menu or specials… I think the wine was imported from the palace of some prince from Saudi Arabia as I was shocked at what a glass of red wine was…19 dollars no not for the bottle like I said a glass… I wish the menu was English as I couldn’t understand what the selection were… I had the pasta that seemed rubbery when chewing and the sauce was bland I mean tasteless. Disappointed and couldn’t wait to leave and will not return… I’d rather go one kilometre east down the road to muldoons…

Great place for Italian. Nice but not overly fancy; service is professional and helpful. I like the thin crust pizza a lot, but the various pasta dishes and the calamari salads are also solid choices. The lunch menu has some good deals.

The location isn’t picturesque(in a power centre), but the décor compensates. Modern, with wood elements and an open kitchen. The full-length windows open to a large patio, Montréal-style. Seating options include bar dining, banquettes, booths and tables. Comfort for everyone! Our server(Jihan) was lovely and accommodating. She ensured that none of our selections infringed upon my dietary restrictions. If you are clear about your limitations from the outset, you shouldn’t have a problem. Wine list: large enough. Three choices of prosecchi($ 10-$ 13). More than seven each of the whites and reds by the glass, plus rosé. Menu: again, large enough. Multiple sandwiches and salads for lunch, plus the option of ordering off the regular menu. Pappardelle with lamb, chicken saltimbocca, several seafood options, plus vegetarian dishes, so there is something for everyone. Large portions. On that point, a small plea: if you are able, please consider keeping food storage containers in your car so that you can wrap up the uneaten portion when dining out. It saves small businesses money(a little bit from each diner adds up over the course of a year) and it saves packaging from going into a landfill. Try it — you’ll be surprised at how good you feel. A very satisfying experience.

In London visiting friends and they brought us here. as the place to try… looks like a great place in the summer to experience the patio — unfortunately a bit too cold tonight Service was exceptional and very friendly and quick for a more of a formal restaurant. Two appies — Polpotte and Roasted Prosciutto… both very tasty however three of each — odd portion size and for four one went without with each — so couples can’t share easily, The bottle of wine had between the girls was very much enjoyed, great wine list — and wait staff was very knowledgeable of all brands. Four entrees: Rigatoni Sorrento, Agnolotti, Conchiglie and Linguine Di Mare — all were very tasty and lets just say no complaints from the table We were the last table in the restaurant and there was no rushing us out the door or anything — in fact the manager came and offered free desert to thank us for our patronage. which really top off a great meal. nice touch(3 x tiramisu, conolli) Service, food, flavour all really good — don’t expect a fast cheap meal with a full dinner service.

An wonderful addition to the London dining scene! The décor and ambiance is truly unique and fun. While there is no way for any place in Southwestern Ontario to capture the magic of Europe, Dolcetto comes close enough for me. My wife and I have had a lunch and a dinner here so far. So far the Capricciosa pizza and the Classico sandwich have been our favorites. The pastas we had we alright but had room for improvement.
