Good service, very friendly staff, and great coffee and food. I sometimes pass by on weekends, but I’d definitely like to stop more often after our latest visit. Could definitely see this as a good place to work on a laptop on a lazy Sunday.

I’ve been in to the Wired Monk in Willoughby a number of times, and have brought along my husband and sisters on occasion. I love this location because it’s the closest place to my house that I can grab a treat when I’m craving something sweet! Tonight, however was very disappointing. Given the fact that I feel I’ve built acquaintance with a few of the girls here, the way I was treated tonight was frustrating. I had ordered a pizza at Dominos on my way home from work, on my hour long commute home from downtown Vancouver. On my way to Dominos from Carvolth, I had planned to stop at your shop and grab a treat for later. When I walked into the store, I asked the girls working«Can I use the washroom?» because I needed to use the washroom before making my purchase. Then one of the girls mentioned to me that the washroom wasn’t for public use, but that it was okay for me to use it this time. I thought to myself«What?! Okay… Even if this was just a misunderstanding, what a way to treat me.» After I used the washroom I just left, I couldn’t believe the response. I have interstitial cystitis. This is a debilitating issue that causes me to have to use the washroom frequently, and is very painful. It affects my life tremendously. No, I’m not making this up for shock factor. On my commute home from work I needed to use the washroom badly. Given my IC, and the way I was treated just left such a bad taste in my mouth. I left feeling embarrassed, humiliated and unappreciated as a customer. I’m not stupid, I know that restrooms typically are for paying customers. I’m a decent human being. Although I didn’t make a purchase before using the washroom, my intentions were to do so. Your employee was not mean about it, but it truly just made me feel embarrassed and humiliated. Don’t push your customers away with petty technicalities! I used to work at Starbucks, and we would NEVER deny someone the use of our washrooms. In fact, we never made it our business. If someone had to go, we would never tell them that they can’t, and besides, I’m sure at some point in their lives they’ve been a paying customer! … Just embarrassed. I never should’ve asked.

This is a nice coffee shop, great location, good coffee, free wifi. I like the quick service and room to sit. The décor and ambience are good enough to be noticed.

This is my favorite spot in Walnut Grove for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff is great, the coffee is the best and the food is amazing. Their home made giant scones are made fresh throughout the day and are to die for. A variety of custom made grilled breakfast sandwiches on your choice of multi grain or bagels, made to order sandwiches with special features that change daily, pair with one of their signature soups and you have a hearty and affordable meal. And don’t get me started on the desserts! Great for any meal of the day or an evening dessert stop. The place is warm and relaxing — usually soft jazz music playing, and of course free wifi. Can’t say enough. This is walnut groves best kept secret.

This place is OK. Not amazing but not horrible. Prices are good, food is tasty, really no major complaints. The staff has changed in the last year. Not as friendly as the blond girl who used to be here all the time(Molly). I was in last week and the whole time we were quietly enjoying our coffee we had to listen to the 2 female staff talking loudly about personal affairs. It was annoying. But i‘ll still come back…
