We love love Purdy’s! They have the best selection of any kind of chocolates imaginable. We have been to many locations and the staff is always very helpful, kind, & cheery. Until we came to the Langley location in the willowbrook mall. We have had 2 encounters with the same lady and both times we left in disbelief how this lady can represent this company with her grumpy fixture on her face! She is so rude that after 2 times of dealing with her– we will never go back to this location. To Purdy’s customers– if you see the elderly lady with very short boyish grey hair at the front– avoid her and ask someone else to assist you– she probably will lose her patience, roll her eyes, talk to herself out loud mumbling something rude about you in front of you, or she will simply snap at you! To Purdy’s Management– take a good look at who you put in the front behind the counter– do they greet their customers, do they smile, do they thank them for their purchase, are they polite and respectful? If not– please do not put them at the front to deal with any customers. Please leave them in the back where they have no contact with people. We customers do not deserve to be treated rudely by your staff.

Solid 3.5 stars, located in a corner spot at the mall, across from Boathouse(no, not the restaurant). Always marketed well, checked out my favourite, Sweet Georgia Brown to see if it’s cheaper out in the burbs, thankfully no so I won’t have to buy it lol. Did notice they have a kosher section, which is nice for that market niche. Going back to marketing, check out this pic, clever idea ;)

I love Purdy’s chocolate especially their dark caramel chocolate with himalayan pink salt. I love the fact that they are locally made chocolate. They are more expensive than your typical grocer chocolate but they are real chocolate, not fake cocoa powder and sugar mixture. Their ultimate chocolate ice cream bar coated with peanut is so scrumptious and so good.

Purdy’s have awesome chocolate but I only shop here for birthdays and at Christmas time so the rest of the year it’s just another expensive chocolate store. We stopped in yesterday afternoon and sure it was busy with Christmas shoppers but they had the line where you pay quite organized so there wasn’t too much confusion in paying for your items. They had an employee offering some free samples to customers in line which was pretty cool and yes I will admit the chocolate here is delicious even though the price is a bit high but it’s the quality you pay for.

Purdy’s is Canada’s Godiva. The Chocolate in here is amazing! I just recently came in here with a friend visiting from California, and oh boy were were surprised. We walked out of there with about 100 dollar worth of Chocolates on Thanksgiving weekend. Turona! That’s the best! And Hedgehogs! Love it!
