I love the atmosphere, and the staff. The iced teas in summer(Crimson Berry is the best) and the baked goods are all pretty good.

such a wonderful café. Really happy to see people who actually care about coffee outside of Vancouver. By far best café in Ladner!

I stopped in for a «something» this morning when it was cold. Thanks to the owner for always remembering my first name, even if I haven’t been in for several months, and thanks for life changing unsweetened lattes… including Matcha and Chai. Amazing!

A random stop while looking for coffee for my boyfriend. I’m not a coffee drinker so ordered the hot chocolate. Terrible, semi-warm and tasted like slightly flavored water. I think it was $ 3.50 and definitely not worth, nor will I return. It would be nice to have/find a place which actually cares about non-caffeinated drinks.

Very happy to have high quality coffee in Ladner — and a place that is open early and stays open later than other local coffee shops! 49th Parallel coffee is delicious, drinks are reasonably priced, and the ambience is quiet and calm.

They have such potential but it just doesn’t come together. 49th Parallel Coffee isn’t enough to make it a great coffee shop. Keep tweaking gang, I’m sure it will get there.

I like the feel and the idea of the place. The coffee is good. The only thing I found was that the service was very slow. The people in front of me had all ordered various designer coffees and it really slowed everything down. I probably stood at the counter for 5 minutes just to order and get a regular no-frills coffee.

Terrible coffee this morning! So happy there’s a «new» café in Ladner, 3 of us stopped in on the way to the office. 2 Americanos, 1 drip = 3 unhappy people. I hope they were having a bad day, and normally it’s better. I don’t normally complain about bad coffee, but this was shocking. I’m surprised by the good reviews. Place looks nice though. It was a light roast, full body… I’ll normally drink just about anything, but not this again.

Best coffee in Ladner! Service is always friendly and atmosphere is a great place to meet for good coffee conversation. I cant comment on the food, but I heard they are going to be making their own pastry so I will be checking it out!

I was pretty excited to find a coffee house near work that brews 49th Parallel. I’ve sampled a fair amount of their espresso beverages and several tea concoctions. The only miss in my opinion is their mocha, it’s super sweet. I adore the real vanilla in the London Fog. The peeps are pretty darn friendly too.

I was thrilled to see this place pop up in Ladner because the last time I was out that way, my only coffee options were Starbucks and McD’s. Yech. They serve 49th parallel coffee and yummy gluten friendly baked goods. I was impressed by the friendly service and the vibe of the place. The wood tables are a nice touch. Washroom was clean and overall feel was kind of hip and small town-like. Great spot to kick back and read a book or newspaper too! I’ll be back for sure next time I am in the area. There is free parking right across from the shop too.

Serving up Parallel 49th coffee. Tables made of reclaimed wood. In the middle of old Ladner. Resounding hurrah’s, they offer almond milk! I love the one-off coffee shops. This one has charm and the chops to become a staple.

These guys know what they’re doing when it comes to coffee. I have never met such knowledgeable(and friendly!) baristas, and the artistry of it is really impressive. They’re thorough and careful and put a lot of effort into making your drink perfect. Take a sec to watch them!

I dunno. Maybe I hit it in an off day but this was the worst coffee I have ever had-Macs, 7 – 11, Chevron, even BC ferries included. 1 of us had a regular coffee which tasted bitter, burnt and overall awful and was thrown away after we each had 2 mouthfulls and the other an Americano which was absolutely tasteless and also dumped when we turned into Starbucks. I’m no fan of SB but it was way better than what the French call the jus de chaussette(sock water) they served at Stir. Too bad we got them take out on the way to the ferry or we would have definitely returned them. It’s a cool environment with seemingly knowledgeable people but the coffee really was atrocious. I’ll know better to taste coffee next time I get it to go in a spot I’ve never been before. I’ll give it another try when I’m in the area because there is no way this business could survive serving coffee like that but all I can do is report on my experience. And you can be sure I’ll taste it before I leave.

First off, this is in Ladner, not Vancouver so someone needs to edit the address. Ladner is a bridge, island, bridge, city, and tunnel away from Vancouver. Semantics of location aside though, this is a great independent coffee shop and a real treat when you are out in suburbia and jonesing for something other than corporate coffee at the strip mall. Staff is excellent, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their coffee and tea. These are not bored mall-rats serving push-button lattes but actual baristas in the suburbs(who knew?!). Coffee is by 49th Parallel which is a bit of a lighter roast than I like but results are consistent and good. My daughter had some fancy Bourbon Vanilla tea(4 minute steep) that made me salivate and perfumed the drive back to the city. I am under strict instructions to buy a bag next time I get out there or just not bother coming home. They have gluten free baked goods from a lower mainland GF bakery. Nothing unique but they are good and celiacs can trust that they are safe so daughter was happy.(the same company supplies Roots Café(previously reviewed) and Bean Around the World.) The only disappointment for me was their croissants. Both the chocolate almond croissant and pain au chocolate were sub par and doughy. This is a crime.(No I did not have them nuked. That is also a crime). Apparently they are known for their banana bread which I haven’t tried but l will check it out next time.

My new favourite little haunt is Stir. I always pop in when I’m visiting my folks in Ladner because they happen to serve my favourite coffee. Too bad they don’t also dish out Lucky doughnuts or I’d be in heaven! Make sure you stop by for a cuppa and support a lovely small business. There are TWO Starbucks’ in Ladner and that’s two too many. Keep Ladner local!

This brand new hipster style café in the heart of small town Ladner in Delta serves Parallel 49 Roasters coffee. It’s a charming corner coffee shop that serves a light, flavourful café mocha. It has a great open space and simple, basic coffee menu and selection.

Don’t recommend this place. Coffee had a chemical sweet taste and I couldn’t have more then 2 sips of it. Only place to make me feel nauseous after drinking a coffee.

BESTEGGNOGLATTE in the Lower Mainland… This latte is sooo smooth with a perfect balance of eggnog and espresso. It’s a secret recipe brewed up but the Master Barista’s & Owners Pete & Rob… But don’t take my word for it… TRYITYOURSELF!!! If you’re not on the hunt for the perfect eggnog latte like myself, Stir Coffee House is also a pour over bar with the best Americano’s, lattes and fresh made London Fog! Stir only serves locally produced Beans & Pastries and exclusively serves 49th Parallel Beans and To Die for Banana Bread’s making them 100% locally owned & served… Stir Coffee House is a must try… See you there
