Even the weather couldn’t stop me from playing golf at least once this summer. Of course, having spent the last two weeks in the Okanagan and Kamloops with +26C weather, the one day I have free to myself, not have to work, not have to be anywhere, it rains. Just my luck. A friend of mine who works for a local real estate company suggested we go golfing since I was in town and had a Sunday to myself. It rained a little during our game but for the most part, a jacket and a little persistence made for a relaxing golf day. This is my first time playing the 18 hole course(just 5 minutes from the city centre) and it’s quite challenging. I’m not the best golf player(far from it) so I expected to lose a few balls, especially in the beginning. Takes me 3 – 4 holes to warm up :) The course marshall drives around which is nice, keeping an eye on things and making sure people are not holding up the game. This is a sophisticated and challenging course but I’d definitely recommend it. Reservations are obviously a must and your golf cart comes with a bottle of water which is a nice little perk.
