Very nice restaurant for the price range. Clean and nicely organized. Decent service with awesome food and prices. I would recommend this restaurant to the students nearby as it is much better than what is offered on campus and nearby as well as within the price range of most students. They do take-out which I would also recommend for late night studying. I would recommend the kung pao chicken.

Cheap price. Close to MAC. Huge portion of my delicious Chinese food. Good option to go for a quick lunch. Support!

So, if you come to Hamilton often, you’ll figure out there’s not a whole lot of Chinese restaurants (I’m comparing this to Markham of course).
Mr. Gao is one of the selections and it is located on Main street, super close to McMaster University. The prices of food are a little on the high range for Chinese food, I suppose it’s because of transportation fee and the lack of Chinese restaurants here.
The dish sizes are all right, the food is decent as well, I felt like it was too salty for my tastebuds. The waiters speak English and I hear many of them speak Mandarin as well.
I wouldn’t say this is THE best place, but if you’re looking at decent Chinese restaurants around MAC, this is the place!

I often dine in Mr Gao.
The food is really Chinese traditional, spicy tofu and poached sliced beef in hot chili oil are my favourite dishes.
Also, it’s near Mac and home, so it’s good place.
Ps: the boss is nice and friendly
