MAC Cosmetics

I was really happy with my makeover. I was in Hamilton for a wedding and was unable to make an appointment at my preferred time slot, but I was able to do a walk in around lunch time, which worked out fine.
My artist listened well to my requests and made some good suggestions. She also explained what she was doing and what products she was using, which is great because I like to learn new tricks.

MAC is definitely my favourite brand of makeup. It comes in tonnes of different colours and oftentimes they have new lines coming in for a limited time with pretty cool themes, such as Barbie Loves Mac and Hello Kitty. The only Mac Cosmetics counter in Hamilton is located inside of The Bay in Limeridge Mall. The other Mac stores are in Toronto and other cities. You may want to browse the site even if you don’t plan on purchasing, just so you can see what I mean when I say their selection is amazing!
The makeup stays on a while and comes in bright, vibrant colours. You can purchase things like eyeshadow primer so the colours will last longer and appear brighter. I do have to admit that the prices could be better. For one small eyeshadow it is $ 17.70. I once purchased a 4-​colour eyeshadow case, an eyeshadow primer and a blush and it totaled $ 113! However, I should also point out that Mac recycles, and if you keep the containers your makeup comes in, you can bring in 5 of them when the makeup is gone and you can «cash it in» for a free lipstick!
I must admit that regardless of the cost, I have a full (large) makeup bag dedicated solely to Mac products. I own foundation, powder, blushes, primers, eyeshadows, eyeliners, mascara and more from Mac. They cater to everyone’s makeup needs and if you are willing to cough up a bit more cash than you normally do on makeup, then you should definitely check out Mac! You WON’T be disappointed!
