Fung Wah Restaurant Ltd

Small… Needs a face-​lift. But the food and service are great. Parking is a little to be desired but hey… It’s an older location that’s probably been there since the early 80s… And the interior is living proof of that. I’m not a interior designer… I’m a food blogger. So I’ll stick to that. The price point and quality of food are great. Lots of options for combination plates, vegetables are fresh and crunchy. Delicious and would go back to sit with a group. Or even try their takeout

My Uncle had insisted for weeks that I should try the food at Fung Wah.
‘You won’t be disappointed.’ he said.
With that in mind, and the fact that my Mother and I were craving Chinese, we decided to see if my Uncle was accurate in his assessment.
The dining room is bright and cozy with about a dozen tables occupying the space in total. There is a nice variety of options — both individual and combination plates — at reasonable prices. For the record, Fung Wah also provides chicken nuggets or chicken fingers with a side order of french fries.
I ordered combination plate #9 — chicken fried rice, egg roll, sweet and sour chicken, sand almond gai ding — with the gai ding replacing beef and broccoli. My Mother ordered combination plate #11 and substituted beef fried rice in place of chicken fried rice, but could not substitute the ginger beef for sweet and sour chicken. The waitress indicated that no more than 1 substitution was allowed as the kitchen staff were really busy on this day.
We did not have to wait too long for the food — about 15 – 20 minutes — which surprised me as I had heard from my Uncle that it was common for delivery times to take about an hour due to the restaurant’s popularity. When the food arrived, I was stunned to see how much was on our plates; you could easily feed 2 people per plate. There was very little grease and we were only disappointed when the dining experience was over.
I would highly recommend Fung Wah for all those interested in satisfying their need for Chinese cuisine.

My favorite Chinese food. We’ve eaten here for lunch & dinner, always good food & service. Take out is fast too. Also very affordable, especially lunch specials.

I can’t say I didn’t like it here. I’ve been a few times and always get the norm… which is either #1 or #2 with steamed rice. Their Wong Tong soup is probably the best one I’ve had anywhere else
But… the last time I was here, a bunch of co-​workers and I went during lunch. When we got back to our office, I think I passed out at my desk for a solid 2 hours. (I hope my boss isn’t reading this)
I think there is a MSG Overload here

On those nights when cooking for ourselves seems like cruel and unusual punishment, this is one of my and my fiancée’s favourite spots to grab some take-​out for dinner. Delicious food, a fairly extensive menu, large portions, and very pleasant staff keep us coming back. The lo mein is especially tasty.
They deliver, but the fee is a bit pricey as delivery charges go (5 dollars), so pick up might be the better way to go.

We went here for the supper hour. It did not take long for the place to fill up quick. I could not believe it, I was told about this place for some time and finally was able to go. It is a hidden Gem. Very clean restaurant, about 12 tables, two very large ones for groups, nice décor as well.
Service was quick, friendly, and busy. We ordered right away, we usually know what we are getting. Our standard Singapore Noodles, Rice, Chicken Balls, and Egg Rolls. We also ordered their spring rolls, which I have to say were great, one of the best we ever tasted. The food was fresh, hot and spicy, just the way we like it.
I can say the portion sizes are large, left over’s for sure. There were a lot of oriental people eating there, I always watch what others are ordering. Some of those dishes made me want to switch tables, LOL
It just all looked so good.
We we extremely happy with our meal, service and would recommend this to anyone. It is frequented by a lot of the locals, judging from the amount of take out that happened in the hour we were there.
We were lucky enough to receive two Wall Scroll Calendars from the lovely lady.
I would say if your in the area you will not be disappointed. Go and Enjoy.
