Kind of a dumpy atmosphere. However they’re food wasn’t too bad. My boyfriend ordered a fish sandwich with fries and it seems that the Canadians make their fries fresh which is not only awesome but they taste great! They put vinegar on them too which isn’t bad tasting at all. Canadians are a little bit more slow at service I’ve learned, but that’s just me being American expecting a cold beer ASAP. They have a small selection of beers however to my surprise they did have IPA. I was also upset by the fact that they meat up my request to have more broth less bread and onions in my order of French onion soup. Despite that, the soup was still tasty and one of the servers professionally handled their mistake. There are nicer places to go if you’re in the area. They sometimes have live music deeming average.

I’ve been to Paddingtons a few times now and I’m really liking everything about it. They have a good selection of interesting beers on tap, and they have a huge variety of English pub-style dishes for a reasonable price. The owners/bartenders/servers are all super friendly and nice, which makes it just an awesome place to hang out. I really like the burger, it’s a huge monster of a patty that you can be topped with almost anything including a fried egg. Just beware; it can get too big to fit neatly into your mouth. Apparently once a month they have a beef rib special which is just a ridiculous amount of food and super yummy. I haven’t tried it, only heard legends about it, but I definitely want to check it out some time. The only thing about Paddingtons is that sometimes when it’s busy it takes awhile for the food to come out, so if you’re in a rush you might want to ask first how long it will be. They are pretty good about warning you if it’s going to be awhile though.

Great little English Pub. 50 kinds of Beer for the beer club, over 20 wines, what’s not to like? Owner Jen Gaukroger goes out of her way to make you feel welcome, and you’ll often find her either behind the bar, or in the kitchen. Jen’s always on her game dreaming up new events, such as the annual Halloween party, little black dress nights, afternoon tea, beer and wine tastings, winter carnival, just to name a few. Not to mention her many charity events. Great food, good company. Cheers Paddies!
