We were in town for a dance competition and looking for something different for lunch. We decided to give Gloria’s Soup Pot a try. So glad we did! There were 6 of us in our party, 3 adults and 3 teen girls. There were only a few tables available when we arrived around 1:00 pm and most were dirty, but when the person working saw us came in she let us know she’d get the tables cleaned right away and she did. She was the only employee there, doing the serving and cleaning and«cashiering» all on her own with a cheery smile and pleasant manner. She was quick and efficient! I had the German Ham and Carrot soup — it was delicious although I am not a fan of dill. It wasn’t overly«dilly» but I think I would have preferred it without. I am gluten intolerant and asked if she had gluten free bread for sandwiches. She was out, but had gluten free cheese buns and said she’d make a sandwich on one of those for me. I had the egg salad and it was very tasty!
