I live in the area and go to Cloverdale Mall quite often. After 2 years with another barber(also very good but much farther away) I decided to give Michael’s a try. It was actually my sister who recommended the place after having her hair trimmed. I decided to go with Francesco, the barber whose station is the first on the right when you walk in. Francesco did a good job at first and the cut keeps improving each time I go there. He takes his time, knows what he is doing and is very efficient. Can’t beat the cost either. Cash only(only negative point). Bravo Francesco! Sono un cliente molto soddisfatto.(We speak Italian to one another).

I went there for my first haircut since moving to the west end. I can’t comment on all the stylists/barbers but mine wasn’t that great. I asked for the top to be left long, so instead of leaving he cut half of it off. All and all not very pleased. The other customers seemed to get a decent cut but I don’t think I’ll be back.

I have only cheated on Michaels salon when I moved from Toronto to Montréal. Now that I’m back in Etobicoke, I can’t imagine ever going anywhere else. The price of a haircut is more than reasonable and the place is clean and bright. The staff are friendly and are very efficient at getting the job done. I personally only get my haircut and shave by Bruno(he runs the place — first chair on the left as you walk in). I never have to tell him what I want or need. I just sit and he goes to work. It’s also the kind of place that becomes like extended family. Bruno is the equivalent to the lend an ear bartender of the hair cutting world. If you’re in the West End and want a barber you can trust — head to Cloverdale and see Bruno(or his brother).

Recently renovated. This is a great barber shop. I’ve been here more than 4 times, never fails
