I came in today to pick up some cannoli to let friends sample. The server I had was very polite and professional. I will be back to try some other menu items. Overall, a very nice experience!

Nice little coffee and panini shop in the far north end. It is much better than one would expect for its location in a strip mall. Had a Panini and cannoli. Both were good, dessert was not too sweet.

* Introduction: «Zucchero is a European style licensed coffee shop that is community minded. We are open to children and adults of all ages. We offer low prices on coffee, pastries, soups, salads, and our speciality Panini’s. We also have daily Pasta specials. Check us out and let us add a little sugar(Zucchero) to your day! Ciao… Our hours are suggested but we won’t close until the last person calls it an evening!»(Description from their business card) * My order: For lunch, I had one of their special of the day: Smoked Salmon Panini(6.50 $). It was absolutely delicious! The bun was fresh and crispy, the smoked salmon tasted so good, and all the other ingredients made that Panini an excellent meal! I also ordered a Café latte(2.75 $) and it tasted really good. For dessert, I had a Mocha cake slice(3.50 $). Can’t complain about that! Overall, I really enjoyed my meal, mostly because the Panini tasted so fresh! * Atmosphere: When you walk inside this coffee/restaurant, you will see the main bar along the right side, and multiple tables on the left. There are a few televisions and a foosball table available. Seating capacity is 50. It is kid-friendly(even if they serve alcohol) and the ambiance was really nice. The music wasn’t too loud and suited the«coffee shop» style. * Exclusives: Specials of the day. Nice selection of beverages(hot & cold). Fresh Panini’s & Pastries. Free internet(wireless). Reservations accepted. Possibility to book your private party. Personalize customer service! * Menu: Major groups are hot & cold beverages(1.50 to 4.00 $), grilled Panini’s(4.25 to 8.00 $), soups & salads(4.25 to 7.00 $), pastries(3.00 to 5.00 $), gelato(3.50 to 4.50 $) and liquor(4.25 to 6.00 $). I took a picture of their complete menu so feel free to take a look at it. * Service: Carla(owner) was serving me and she’s very friendly. Her service was quite frankly perfect! She made sure to mention her special of the day and asked me twice how my food tasted. I even asked her permission to add her restaurant on Unilocal, and made it my first review! All that being said, customer service deserves no less then 5 stars! * Surroundings: This restaurant is located behind a 7 Eleven on 160 Ave and 82 Street(North-East of Edmonton). It is located at the end of a small strip mall including a private parking for customers up front. This area feels safe so no worries about your vehicle! * Washroom: Overall, the men’s washroom was clean. Paper towel, soap dispenser, toilet paper and trash can were all available.(Why am I reviewing a restaurant’s washroom? «When a restaurant minds the bathroom, it makes me believe the staff has been trained to have an equally serious and healthy attitude about food safety.») * Conclusion: My experience was fantastic the first time I went there! I went back twice so far and I am planning on going again. I totally recommend this for anyone! If you feel like having a coffee, a snack, or a drink, please give it a try! * This was a review of: — Name: Zucchero Cappuccino Bar & Panini Grill — Address: 8336160 Ave, Edmonton, AB — Telephone: 1−780−472−7640 — Email: — Hours of operation: Mon to Thu(9am-10pm), Fri(10am-12am), Sat(10am-10pm), Sun(3pm-9pm)
