By far the best donairs in the city. Always fresh and yummy. Couldn’t say much about the rest of the items on the menu, only because I’m a donair aficionado. Staff are friendly and the place is always clean.

Great donairs, have never got an order wrong as they prepare it right in front of you. Great guys, great place!

One star seeing as you can’t give any less, and this place deserves far less. I live less than a block away and have been here more then a few times. That said they really have no clue as to what they are doing. Get ready if you eat here for mistakes on your order. When you eat out you expect a place that can deliver either a great experience or food or really both, every time and all the time. This place just can’t do it, and I really wish they could. The food when they get it right is great, but I just can’t forgive the inconsistent service.

La personne qui a appelé ca World Finest a vraiment mangé peu de kebab dans sa vie. Sec, acide et pas vraiment bon.

Hands down my favorite donair spot. I’ve been lucky enough to live next door to this place for nearly a year now. This place provides the ultimate comfort food in great portion sizes for a fair price, as well as give me the option to season my fries with all-seasoning. Sometimes, if they have it, they’ll throw in free mayo dipping sauce too! The folks who work there and run the place are friendly and have been generous about giving my boyfriend or I free cheese on our donairs when we were short on cash. I think this place is one of Jasper Ave’s best kept secrets and I’ll miss the convenience of these donairs big time when we move.

I found it to be a very dirty place, not my cup of tea. The food wasn’t good either. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back. Unless they get less creepy staff and some renovations and a better menu…

I’ve been to this place several times over the years, and it’s always fresh and really good! So filling too! Love me some of that sweet sauce, I also tried the donair poutine that’s good too, and add tzatziki sauce on that!

Good Shwarma. The spicy tzatziki is excellent. I would have given them one more star if they did two things: i) for people that eat in, there is no reason to put the Shwarma in a plastic bag; and ii) it would have been nice to have a box of fries, rather than just putting them on the tray cover. Otherwise, the food is great, the staff is friendly and the prices are fair.

Good donairs. I like the romain lettuce and big tomatoes ! Pickled radish is a good idea but too salty for my taste. regular donairs are big as other places supers :) would be interesting to see some other veggies available.

Well I don’t often get donair, I’m still in Alberta girl. Which means there’s definitely going to be a donair or two somewhere, sometime. World Famous gets my vote because guy that runs the place is super friendly and always has a smile on his face. He doesn’t mind when you asked for requests like sweet sauce on the side, or for a kids size donair. The flat bread is fresh and plump. I also prefer chicken donair at times and theirs is awesome! Then the true test: do they have tzatziki sauce? And does it rock? Yes and yes!

World’s Finest continues to impress. Recommended if you’re up for a donair. The service they offer is friendly and the food is good for greasy grub. All in all, it’s better than most donair shops.

This is a OK place to get a donair. The meat i believe is not made in house it has a bland taste to it. i have gone here a couple times. The staff are very friendly. The donair wrap sub par the fries and the gravy tasted very good very spicy gravy which i like and why i gave three stars

Donair poutine is my staple, I regretfully admit that I haven’t tried anything else even though I’ve been there numerous times. The staff there is always warm and welcoming, the food is delicious, and they’ve got great portion sizes.

This has got to be one of the messiest donairs in the city. I usually go for donair poutine… and they do it pretty good here. This is definitely my go-to donair place downtown, though my true favourite is on the southside. They have a lot of great fresh toppings. including pickled turnip. I think that’s what he said it was. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s neon pink, so i’m more than a little intrigued. They cut their tomatoes smaller here than at most donair shops… Which I quite like. I hate big tomato slices. One small complaint that I have is that they leave their donair meat in long slices when used on the poutine. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by my local shop, but I really prefer when the meat is cut into smaller pieces before put on the fries. The service is always really great. They don’t squirm or anything if you change your mind on what toppings you want and they’re pretty quick even during the rushes. I always take mine to go, because I would rather make a fool of myself trying to eat it without making a mess at home, and not in front of strangers. But, if you’d prefer to eat there, there’s 6 — 10 tables for you to choose from.

After doing photo jobs I tend to treat myself with a greasy late night meal. This time I was in Edmonton and my hotel was near Jasper Ave. Walking down Jasper Saturday night there aren’t many choices(on the west end of Jasper). I came across«World’s Finest Donair» after about a 10 minute stroll. Walking in I noticed the usual atmosphere of a donair shop, the greasy smell, style-less décor, TV on the wall. I was in the right place. I ordered a regular donair and a pop, sat down and watched the TV until my donair was ready. The wait times are a bit slow. I’d have to say, the slowest I’ve ever encountered and they weren’t packed by any means. 10 – 15 minutes later I finally get my donair. It’s exactly what I asked(except it was packaged to-go instead of to stay, no big deal). They put enough sweet sauce too, the only place that actually has done it properly(I’m a sweet sauce whore). All in all, it was a good donair with a good price(came out to less than $ 9 with a pop), friendly and good service(minus the wait times). I’d go back if I was in town and in the area again. It would get 5-stars if it didn’t take so long.

The place has the ambience of a submarine. However the price is great, staff excellent, hours superb, and the food is good. The burgers are to die for and the same price as a quarter pounder with twice the taste and value. The donair and shawarma are also not bad. Portions are designed to fill a redneck stomach. They have the prayer music running in the background which I find really nice.

One of the best shawarmas I’ve ever eaten in Edmonton. I lucked out looking for a place to get a quickie(I mean fast food… for those with green minds!), and my Unilocal app listed this place as the only one that was cheap enough as I was driving around the vicinity of Oliver/124st. Anyway, the cook noticed I am not a regular and thanks me for coming to his restaurant. I ordered the Super Chicken shawarma, which I noticed was packed full with tons of chicken and veggies, I was starting to salivate as I watched him put together the pita sandwich. He even put the packaged shawarma on the grill for about 15 more seconds to warm it up a bit more. The shawarma was very good and flavourful, and quite filling for only $ 10.25. Needless to say, I’ll be returning to this place again for a tasty ‘quickie’ — next time I’ll try the sweet sauce.

Well… I’ve been back quite a few times and raised my rating to 4 stars. I’ve found them to keep a clean restaurant — the front part anyway — as the tables are always clean, they’re pretty consistent unlike other donair places where it seems it would depend on who’s cooking on whether you should eat there. And the best reason I discovered… If it’s nice out and not too windy you can take your food across Jasper &120th and go sit on a park bench overlooking our amazing river valley & Victoria Park. Donairs were made for this! World Famous also has picnic tables on the side… so an old school patio! But the bench view is better!
