The Liquor Depot

The Liquor Depot has been renovated and the next store is better organized and seems brighter. Judging from the number of people inside, it’s a busy liquor store. When you walk in the wines are on the left wall and organized by the country of origin. They are neatly organized and seem to offer a good variety with prices from $ 10 (for those on sale) and up.
At the end of the aisles they have boxes and sales of items to promote. I noticed the Wayne Gretzky wine was one of them and seemed to be a seller. Not sure if it’s for the taste or the name.
At the back of the store is the beer cooler. I didn’t go in but lots of people going in and out of there so I’m assuming it’s pretty big and good selection.
You can sign up with your email to join the club and get the club prices for sale items. They aren’t many of them but worth it to save a few bucks.
We got vodka light coolers (80 calories) and beer and if would return if we are in the area.

Liquor Depot is one of Alberta’s premier operators of retail liquor stores. They offer a wide selection of liquor in a well laid out environment. There are a lot of liquor stores in Edmonton, so if what you are looking for is out of stock in one location, it is likely a nearby location will have it in stock. Prices are also very competitive as well. As this is a large chain, they can usually provide discounts that are hard for other stores to match. Liquor Depot also has a good selection of liquor whether you’re looking for something small and cheap, to spending over $ 100 on a Texas mickey.
This location is quite large and you will most likely find all your domestic beers, coolers, and international wine. You will most likely not find any specialty import liquor or wine here though… however, the staff can easily check if any of their other locations have it, including Grapes & Vines. The staff here are friendly and courteous, and I never get the feeling that I’m being watched or pressured to buy something instantly. There is also enough room to navigate around all the shelves, and everything is laid out logically: wines in one section, beer in the fridges, Scotch on one cabinet, Rum on another, Vokda on another, etc… No matter what you’re looking for, you’re sure to find something at Liquor Depot whether it be for yourself or for others.
