Had a decent cut and color here. Tried to return to that stylist, but was told she moved to London. They booked with another stylist. I was booked for a Thursday afternoon a week in advance. That Thursday morning the salon left me a message stating that«as of yesterday » my stylist no longer worked there and I should call back to be re-booked with a Senior stylist as the only option. I called back within the hour to be told that they couldn’t re-book until well into the next week. No apology offered. This was not acceptable as I had taken the afternoon off work for this hair appointment to prepare for a weekend work event. Reschedule for next week at the place that cost me an afternoon? Will not risk my hair at a place that is so clearly mismanaged.

Friendly service. Conveinent online booking system. Great hair products. Free trims. I came here bc I was recomended by a fellow elite member. It was indeed a great choice. Online booking was available but I wanted to speak to the desk to get the right hair stylists for my needs.(Since every stylist cuts different types of hair best). I was able to book for the next day which was great. I booked with kris. I checked out the online website and decided it was pretty cool. Profiles and pics were online. Which kinda gave me an idea of what stylists appealed to my tastes. I discovered that they normally are involved with new york fashion week. This was impressive and it took away some of my anxiety. Parking is a chore. Metered pay parking is all thats available. Its on a busy street with only a few stalls available. I was lucky bc I had an 0800 appointment. So no problems. Walking in was a surprise a huge open concept which was bright and inviting. I was asked to change into a cover. They offered me a coffee or cappacino or water. A cappucino was delivered to me in minutes. Kris washed my hair and went away cutting it. She did an excellent job and cut it exactly like the picture I had showed her. It took about an hour bc I chopped off my long hair for a super short bob. She was a bit rushed in the end bc her next client was waiting for her and was trying not to make her wait too long. I feel like one side was done better than the other. They only allow 45 min per client which is not much time for a shampoo, cut and style. So I minused a star for the too close bookings which made me feel uneasy bc she started to rush. Overall my cut was great and the products used were good. I will come back until my hair grows out. Kris mentioned that you get free trims too. This seems awesome since short hair requires touchups when its growing out. I love my hair and im glad I had it done here since its sooooo hard to find a decent hairdresser in edmonton.

I’ve been getting my hair cut at Mousy Brown’s for a year or two now, ever since my wife got me a gift card for Christmas when we were still dating. While it is a bit pricey — I’d been a $ 12 special kind of guy in the past — it is definitely worth the money. The stylists do a great job and the little extras like coffee, the occasional glass of wine, and a scalp massage are nice. The staff working the front desk are always helpful and friendly, and the stylist that I see is awesome. Stacey is one of the stylists with a lot of male clients, so she does a good job cutting men’s hair. Plus, she always has good recommendations for new restaurants to try and new music to listen to. My haircut was screwed up once at Mousy Brown’s, but they made it right and my next cut was free in order to make up for it. Mistakes happen. It’s the way that they’re handled that is important and Mousy Brown’s handles them well.
