Kernels Popcorn

As a kid I used to visit WEM frequently, and I absolutely loved grabbing some popcorn from Kernels. The popcorn here comes in many flavors and it tastes so much better than microwave and theatre popcorn, which is all I had tried at the time. Since then I have purchased a good quality air popper (usually these cost less than $ 50 and don’t require washing if they don’t use oil) and also learned to make popcorn in a pot on the stove, both of which are dead easy to do and just as customizable in terms of flavoring. With these options available, which honestly taste better and are way cheaper than Kernels, I don’t find myself coming here any more.
There is nothing really wrong with the product here, it is pretty tasty and the prices are a bit less than what you’d pay in the theatre. So if you’re in the mall and have a crazy popcorn craving attack, this is a great stop. However, on a normal day, it’s not worth the money.

Never have enough flavoured popcorn on hand. ketchup is a very popular flavour and if you want large than a small you have to wait for them to make it. Lack of proper management skills

Oh god… my new favourite popcorn flavor is the Jalapeño Jack! Tastes just like the nacho Doritos with a bit more zing to it!
Kernels always makes their popcorn right, with the perfect amount of seasoning in all their flavours. I also enjoy their salt and vinegar because it’s pretty vinegary (just the way I like it!)
FYI: If you buy two mediums, you get $ 2 off I believe, so it makes sense to go that route vs. 2 smalls

Yumm! Soo good and so many different flavours to choose from whether you have a sweet tooth or spicy! If I am craving popcorn and am seeing a movie, I will always bring it into the theater (never had a problem once)! For 2 dollars difference, the popcorn and Kernerls is a thousand times better! My favorite flavour is Creamy caramel and jalapeño jack!

Love these guys. If it wasn’t so expensive compared to popcorn at home I’d go a LOT. They’ve often got some good BOGO deals on, which takes the sting out of the stamp program ending. I have got to figure out how they make popcorn so good!
The man often working there who I assume is the manager or owner is amazingly friendly, and very helpful.
If you can, try and smuggle this stuff into the movies. It’s miles ahead of the stale, cold junk they serve!

This is how popcorn should be served in movie theaters. It’s not just buttered popcorn, they offer popcorn that comes in so many flavors it is actually hard to choose sometimes.
The place is pretty much set up like a concession at the movies. They have all the different flavors on display, you pick one, they put it in a bag for you and send you on your way. Some people sit down and eat, some take it home, some eat it while they shop. I want to get popcorn here and then go to a movie.
It’s best compared to chip flavors. regular chips are great and all but you can’t beat all the extra flavors. I enjoy buttered popcorn but it can’t compete with all the flavors Kernels has to offer.
