Well, we had quite the experience with Greyhound Courier Express. We shipped all of our belongings, including small furniture, clothes, dishes, picture frames, containers — you name it — from Ontario to Alberta. The shipping was actually really fast and much cheaper than having it shipped out through other companies, or through hiring a moving truck. However, we were so angry and disappointed when we went to pick up our 24 boxes because(literally) every single box was ripped open — most of them literally had the sides completely ripped open with our personal items, including our underwear, tools, fossils we had collected, picture frames, etc., all over the ground and underneath pallets when we went to pick them up. We took pictures of everything we had, and were so mad because who knows how much of our stuff fell out along the way that we would never find again, or never even notice was gone(like our fossil collection and our tools) until weeks or months later. We filled out a damaged goods form and it took three months for them to respond, but they sent a letter saying they would reimburse us for $ 160, which we are happy with. It is more than what we anticipated, and they are reimbursing us for the entire amount we claimed in damaged goods. They also apologized for the situation, and I believe this was the right thing to do on their part. I’m glad they respect their customers enough to reimburse them for damages made to their items. I leave this occurrence up to the moron drivers/shippers who moved our packages. Everything was in cardboard boxes and most bubble wrapped, so for them to be literally falling apart like that means that the boxes would have actually had to been dropped repeatedly and thrown around carelessly for that to happen. I mean, if they were squished because of packaging with other boxes, that’s different — but ours had entire sides ripped off and the tape ripped off. Hopefully Greyhound figured out who the shippers were for our items and fired them immediately. I’d use Greyhound again because they were good enough to rectify the situation with us and I don’t think this is a regular occurrence.
