I’m sorry to say this was one of my worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a very long time. When three friends and I ordered drinks and brunch, the restaurant had barely any other patrons. The mimosas were all cheap sparkling wine and no juice. The food took much longer than normal timing standards(one of my friends was a previous employee at a different location). When it finally arrived, it appeared to have been sitting at a cold expo station for quite a while. Besides the temperature, the taste of all dishes(eggs bennies and soup) was below average from what I usually expect from Earls. We agreed that the food was mostly inedible and not worth waiting for a reheat or remake. When we asked to pay for our drinks and leave, it took nearly 10 minutes for a manager to come around. She apologized and offered to bring the bill. We waited another 5 – 10 minutes and then had to stand up and start to exit before the server came around and asked us to pay for our drinks. All around just a depressing experience. I would never go back.

I have been to Earls many times at the UA location and few times in the west end. In the past, we all enjoying dinning at this restaurant, it is a walking distance for lunch from the University. We also meeting in the West end location with our outside of UA friends. We like the foods, the service and the environment, the locations and more… At the present time, I will NOT coming back to EARLS: I am an Albertan and only supporting the Business that also supporting our local economy, especially at this hash economical time for Alberta. I am very disappointed at Earls! I read and read all arguments… I do not think Earls even care.

2nd Review: Brunch Not sure if you guys skimped on the hash and Eggs Benedict dishes but there was not much there. The sever also told us we could not order brunch because it was after two(which was not the case — we all pulled out our phones to show her the correct time — she did not seem very pleased). We arrived at 1:20 and took until 1:50 for our orders to be placed. Right on bourbon street! Hostesses were friendly and the sever provided great service! Love the fact she brought water without us even having to mention a thing. The white peach Bellini is on special Tuesdays. Earls! My have your Dynamite Rolls shrunk!(or we got left over scraps). Spinach dip was great(the feta on top makes it even better). The butter chicken was also very good!

Went here once while visiting family, very fast service, great food and it was a very nice atmosphere. Restaurant was very nicely decorated with beautiful architecture. Servers were very friendly, and accommodating, always making sure we were doing good. Would strongly recommend to anyone visiting edmonton.

I enjoyed this earls, the food is good and the service is on par with that. My favourite things to order is the salt and pepper wings. The wine is now on tap, and is actually quite tasty. Maybe too tasty!

Received some excellent service at this Earl’s location last night while doing some last minute Christmas shopping with the masses at WEM. After being greeted by the trio of hostesses waiting outside, we sat ourselves at a table in the lounger and was greeting promptly by our server. She asked us for our drink orders. I only wanted water with lemon and my fiancé ordered an iced tea. One of the managers promptly brought over our drinks and even remembered the lemon I requested. I ordered the bacon and cheddar burger with fries, while my fiancé ordered a steak, rare, with a side of grilled prawns. The food came out in a decent time. Unfortunately, my fiancé’s steak was overcooked so he told our server who quickly took it back to be remedied. But before leaving, she asked him he wanted something else to nibble on while he waited, which he declined as he could have some of my meal. No sooner had she left, that the same manager who brought us our drink order, came by the table to apologize and also reaffirm that the kitchen was working on a new order. Between the two of us, we finished my burger and fries before his meal reappeared. I should mention my burger was pretty good, full of flavor, if not a touch too salty. The fries on the other hand, were lukewarm at best. When his order arrived(via the manager), she now asked me if I wanted something else to eat while waiting, and she offered up their seasonal dessert special, which was a warm gingerbread cake with caramelized apples and vanilla ice cream. How could I pass that up?! So I happily agreed and sure enough, they brought out a complimentary dessert for me. How very nice! And it was so yummy! Moist and full of flavour, it totally invoked Christmas in my tastebuds! I wish I could’ve finished it all but alas I ended up having to take most of it home as a delicious leftover. So my fiancé’s new steak was prepared to his liking… the prawns he ordered on the side were a whopping 12! The steak came with roasted yams and beets(both delicious!) plus mashed potatoes(which I also enjoyed!). In the meantime, throughout the dinner service, our server brought over a new refilled iced tea for my fiancé several times without asking, which I thought was a nice touch –anticipating needs! Needless to say, we both had a great meal with excellent attention to service and we made a point of not only tipping to reflect that but also made sure we told our server we were impressed by her service. Nicely done Earls! We will be back…

Stopped in for lunch while Christmas shopping. Our server was attentive and kind and the food was good, no complaints. My mom had the soup, salad, and pan bread and said it was«exactly what she needed». :) I had the Jeera curry chicken. It was my first time having this dish anywhere so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was really good and I would order it again. The Jeera curry chicken comes with coconut rice and naan, both of which I love.

Earls on Bourbon street is the worst location for this chain. I’ve had many bad experiences at this location with both service and food. Last Saturday(October 24,2015), my boyfriend and I visited this location for brunch because we’ve always had such a great time at the downtown location. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my eggs came out completely uncooked. The yolk actually disintegrated into the hollandaise sauce and disappeared. It was actually inedible. My boyfriend ordered the egg sandwich and his potatoes tasted like cleaning chemicals. Our waitress was nonexistent-claiming the restaurant was really busy but it clearly was not– and she forgot to bring our free mini muffins. I definitely will never come back to this location, especially since there are so many other options on bourbon street that are substantially better.

We had a new waitress and our food took a really long time, but it was busy in there and we weren’t in a rush! She had to be asked and re asked for drink refills. We shared the pumpkin pies for dessert and they were so good!

Sadly, this had been a place that I had regularly dined at until now. After waiting FAR too long for the soup to arrive, it was basically tasteless coloured water when it got there 10 minutes after ordering. After sending it back, we waited 30 minutes(without any table checks) before finally cutting our losses and leaving. Clearly we were not being served because nobody even asked where we were going as we walked out of the restaurant! Bad service. Bad food. Bad experience.

There is genuinely nothing I’d change about this restaurant. Earls always has delicious food and drinks and the service here is impeccable. You don’t feel like you’re in a huge mall in here and the restaurant is always clean and welcoming every time I’ve been here. If I had to choose a favourite place to go on bourbon, earls would probably always win unless I was in a specific mood for something else. Their fusion cuisine has something for everyone and you can count on your order being delicious no matter what you decide on!

My friends enjoy dinning in Earls and family likes the food. They comments how our dinning experience in Earl’s Restaurant was fantastic and delicious well cooked gormet. Enjoyed the desserts to following with a cup of tea. The customer on the way to our table commented how gormet food is so good and we agreed the dinning in Earl’s was a fantastic dinner. Thank-you, Earl’s for the best dinning gormet delinquent cuisines.

I love earls. I will start with that. However the WEM location has to be the worst one. The food is always rushed and not taken the time to perfect. I have had the same order hundreds of times and every time I eat at this location the food gets worse. The servers are not ideal — they seem to be more inclined to serve young men than women and do not care if your glass is empty, if they forgot your cutlery or forgot to submit your order. I will continue to go to earls — anywhere but the WEM location.

I came in today with my dad for lunch today and really enjoyed the experience. One of the nice things about the Earls chain(or at least the ones in this city) I find is that no matter where you are you can expect a certain quality of food and service. The waitress we had today was very nice and prompt when it came to checking up on the quality of our food as well as offering refills. The restaurant was a bit quiet so she had time to chat and also made some recommendations for things we might enjoy for lunch that we did follow through on and really enjoy. I went with the cajun chicken cheddar and I have to say it’s one of the best sandwiches I have gotten from a restaurant ever. The chicken was heaven and the spices were perfect. I really recommend it for people who like their food to have some kick but can’t handle spicy food that is dripping with sauces. I got it with the caesar salad and this is where I had to take the star off. It just had way too much dressing and I have no idea how it made it out of the kitchen looking the way that it did. The dressing is good though and I would like to try it again with less next time. I loved the food as well as the service and I will most definitely be returning. This is probably one of the best options for a sit down meal on bourbon street in my humble opinion.

We got together with some friends for a post exam celebration at Earls. With the help of reservations, we got two tables for 7:30 which is super convenience considering it’s prime time. The table I sat at had two other people so I would have thought service would have been manageable. It took some time for the waitress to come by and after ordering drinks(coffee, OJ, and water. I know we are throwing it down like we’re 45!) our server completely blanked out when asked if my friend’s coffee was coming. She had no idea it was ordered considering she asked if he wanted milk or cream when initially taking our order. Feeling a bit on the sick side, I quickly gulped the orange juice(premium taste I might add) and was ready for a refill only to be told that unfortunately refills are not included. I only found out later that my juice was 4 dollars. 4 dollars and no refills. Am I the only one taking crazy pills here or does that seem a little outrageous. I can buy a 2L carton of Tropicana for four dollars! But I guess the extra costs is for the excellent service we are provided? I decided to order a pizza and I actually really enjoyed the crispiness and the spicy salami. It definitely hit the spot and was enough for one person. My friends, however, had issues with their meals: a toothpick shard was found in their salad and another’s wonton had uncooked chicken. Although we didn’t demand any type of compensation, we did bring it up with the staff to let them aware of the situation. TL;DR: waitress a little bit spaced out, $ 4.00 non-refillable OJ, some patrons had issues with their meals. Tasty pizza

A great place to meet up with friends after a day of shopping or before catching a movie. The staff are friendly and service is consistent. The atmosphere of the Earl’s is laid back, with a hint of luxury. The orange back-lit marble walls are really eye catching, as are the chandeliers with soft-light bulbs. Food and drinks are also good; I’ll be back again!

Ahh the chain life… I rarely go to chain restaurants but I must say they do a few things right. Consistent food that you know exactly what you’re gonna a get, decent service, and convenience. There’s not many non chain options in bourbon street so we were quite limited in our choices. Earles was my default because they have a decent wine list and good booth seating options. I got a 9oz Pinot and got to spend time with a friend. Not much more I can ask for!

Great dimmed atmosphere yet classy. A good selection of seating area where you can either sit on the ground level which is pretty much the bar area or the just the normal dining area. I must say, they’ve got such comfy cushy seats that I almost didn’t want to leave. Their bloody mary aka caesar was pure delicious. To start, I had the caesar salad, it was fresh — crunchy & simply refreshing. For the mains I had their steak and mushrooms, it was cooked perfectly — just the way I liked it. Food is definitely a WIN. As for their service, it felt a little unorganised. We had 3 – 5 different servers that came up to us at different point and it was just difficult to get hold of our main server for stuffs. It took them a while. Me and my companion also noticed that the servers would group up in an area chatting away and for most part — we couldn’t even see our main waitress. She was hardly anywhere after taking our orders. That was a downer. The service does bring down the overall experience but at the end it was improved by a more consistent waitress no. 5 or 6… I guess I have pretty much lost count… Will definitely return again for the food and atmosphere. Quite hopeful for a better service though.
