Dairy Queen

I’m a regular customer at this location and my order has been messed up nearly every time. Usually something is missing. One time it was dipping sauce, another time they forgot to give me the ice cream coupon, and this time I found onion rings mixed in with my fries — my boyfriend is allergic to onions. Also, they will only give one ketchup and give you an unimpressed look when you ask for more. Maybe they cheap out on these things… Haven’t been impressed lately however the location is very convenient.

The fries are not to bad but way to expensive. I got an ice cream and it was already melted by the time I got it. Terrible experience yes please.

You can’t ask for anything more. This is a newer location that opened up near Newcastle beside the sobeys urban fresh. It’s across the street from Walmart so it’s easy to find.
Tons of parking even when the place is packed. I visited on dairy queens 75^th anniversary where they were giving out free cones. Wow. I was impressed. I was expecting a madhouse. But everything was chill organized and fast. Despite the crowd. It still only took less than 5 min to wait in line order and get our food. Almost 80% of the people walking in didn’t have to wait at all. That’s how efficient the place was. It’s way more organized than McDonald’s. It’s actually how fast food was meant to be.
Dairy queen is known for its iced treats but as a kid I literally lived on their onion rings and ultimate burger. So yummy. After 20 years, they still taste as great as they did 20 years ago.
My favorites are the blizzards. I wish they made the discontinued strawberry shortcake. It’s so good. Sometimes I make it myself using their ice cream. It’s strawberry sauce, bananas, slices of shortcake and a drizzle of chocolate on top. So yummy. Highly addicting! Another favourite of mine is the peanut buster parfait using almonds instead of peanuts topped with chocolate drizzle at the end. It was once a speciality ice cream. But staff allow me to remake it for a few extra bucks. That’s the glory with dairy queen. U can mix n match the toppings to your hearts content.
Kids and adults all enjoy their own flavors. But I enjoy simple fruity flavors. This dairy queen is the best I’ve been too for service, cleanliness and friendliness. Best of all its fast and convenient. There’s a drive thru at this location too!

You expect any DQ location to be slammed on Miracle Treat Day, and they were indeed slammed. However, I need to commend them on how well they were handling things. No, it wasn’t perfect, but they handled any errors quickly and efficiently. The lines were moving along faster than I expected, and they brought in extra staff to handle the high customer volume. The food is consistently good, as is the service. We are happy happy happy that this location is so close to home :-)
