It was alright. We went there at the end of food hopping the downtown’s Rodeo Week menus with Unilocal Elite. We were a bit underwhelmed after the amazing hospitality that we experienced at other locations. The location hasn’t been updated in a long time, and the carpets and chairs need a replacement, stat. The food, though, was decent. We shared a steak sandwich between two people and the group shared the available sides of fries, house salad and mashed potatoes. The steak sandwich and jus/gravy(they called it jus, but we called it gravy because it was thickened), was tasty. The chunk of steak was thick and juicy, which was nice. For the sides, the mashed potatoes were decent(I’m not a mashed potato fan most days), the salad was fresh(no brown bits and everything was crunchy), but the best side was the amazing fries! They were fought over til the end! It could use a bit of an update, and the parking is a little confusing(you have to check in at the front desk), but it wasn’t bad.

I was really rather impressed by the flavour of the french fries, especially when dipped in au jus. The steak sandwich from the Rodeo Week menu was also pretty delicious as it was pretty nice and juicy. The view from the windows here is pretty wonderful too. The service was friendly and kind. The restaurant was pretty empty when we visited by the bartender/server was kind enough to register vehicles from our group at the front desk for parking purposes. The clientelle here seems older than at some other Edmonton bars, and the chairs are really worn. The table didn’t seem terribly sturdy either. It was my first visit here.
