This is the second year in a row that we’ve had a wasp nest around our house and the second year that Academy has quickly taken care of it for us, for a reasonable price.
Last year there was a nest in a pillar of our front steps, this year there was a massive nest deep under the concrete patio slab in our back yard. Both times, Academy was able to get to our place within a few days of my call.
With the larger nest under our back patio, if we moved the patio chairs even an inch, dozens of wasps would swarm out. After the initial treatment there was an immediate improvement with only a handful trying to get back in. Academy did need to come for a second visit after a week, but they did not charge and there was no hassle. They guarantee their work.
They took care of the nests with a special powder that is toxic to insects but relatively harmless to people and pets. We didn’t even have to be home, they did the job and gave us an invoice which we gladly paid.
I would never try to deal with wasps on our own, it’s better, faster, safer, and almost as cheap to call in Academy Pest Control.
I hope we don’t have a need to call them again, but if it’s necessary to get professional pest help, Academy is now in my speed dial list.
