Ate here for all the meals while we stayed at HI hostel

3 times the charm? Fail. The first two times we came here, the service was excellent and the food was solid. The chef seems to have free range to make things like «cheese burger soup.» However, on our last time here, our server was a dud. For the price, this place isn’t a bad option if you don’t want to drop lots of money on food.

My husband and I came here around 8 p.m. on a Monday after exploring Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. When we arrived, there was a couple in front of us waiting for a table. The woman clearly looked displeased, and I figured it was because they were waiting for a while. Then I quickly realized she was probably more upset by the lack of service.
Three servers kept walking by us and they would even occasionally glance at us, but not one of them bothered to say «hi» or anything. Literally 13 minutes went by where none of the employees said a single word to us (who knows how long the other couple had been waiting), and that was our cue to leave. Why would we want to spend money at a business where they clearly don’t care about hungry waiting customers? Yes, the tables were all full (you can see the entire dining room from the waiting area), but that doesn’t mean they can’t at least look our way and say, «Be right with you.»
I normally don’t like to blast a business because of service, but we’ve never waited this long at a restaurant while also being completely ignored.

Pass by Lake Louise, looking for a quick lunch. Read about this place suppose to be good, went check it out. The elk burger was quite decent, slight dry but not as bad as some other places making bison burger. Elk burger is pretty rare !

One of the few restaurant around this place, we tried it base on our tour guide recomendation, the place is just across our hotel, its by the main floor of a hosteling place, the decors are awesome specially those boots lining up in one side of the ceiling, quite place with patio sitting, service is average, cant really review all the foods coz i just tried the chicken curry and since i was so hungry by tastebuds love it… they serves alberta genuine draft beer and other beer as well, lots of people inside, affordable, free parking infront, noise level is average, kinda misleading wheres the washroom located… accept card and cash… neat place… one of the fee places to eat in this patt of lake louise…

Bill Peyto’s is located in a convenient place (the hostel) and serves solid food for a… slightly less overpriced price. The ambience is cozy with wooden chairs and tables, and the menu had a nice variety of dishes on there, but come early for dinner because this place fills up with people from the hostel and the service is not the fastest out there.
I ordered chicken and mushroom pasta with alfredo here, which came with a piece of garlic bread and a small house salad. My mom got the smoked salmon alfredo. I actually finished all my food (it wasn’t bad and I would definitely come back) and felt very full after, and my mom had some leftovers for the next day. Unfortunately the service was not as stellar as the food — we waited 20 minutes for a table and then when one cleared up the waitress almost gave it to another group of people who were in line behind us, but they graciously let us have it. So yeah, expect chaos, but it’s not TOO pricy and you’ll leave full.

It’s tough to find decent gluten free food but the Souvlaki plate here was beautiful. Happy full for first time in ages :-) Busy, bustling and probably short staffed, they’re doing great things here! Cider too. happy girl!
