Okay gang. This is ugly. Cold Stone is so close to my house and they serve Peanut Butter ice cream. But that’s not enough for me. Oh no. Not only do they serve Peanut Butter ice cream, they also let you add peanut butter cups and Snickers bars to it and mash it all up. Still not enough? Then you’re my kind of people. Once you’ve built a peanut butter ice cream concoction with all the peanut butter chocolate bars they have on deck, you can also add a freaking spoonful of actual, honest-to-goodness peanut butter to it all. Now you know my shameful order from Cold Stone Creamery that could single handedly be blamed for the very existence of peanut allergies. And I’m not even a little bit sorry about it.

My mom has a coupon for a bogo signature creation that expired at the end of the month, so we decided to go try it out. Luckily there was no line, so I got to mull over my choices, and I decided to try a Birthday Cake concoction. It was prepared really quickly, so full points for service. Overall though, the ice-cream was only ok, decent but kinda bland. It does appear that there are a lot of mix in options and different flavours of ice-cream, but the colours of the ice-cream make it pretty clear that they are full of artificial flavours and. It is also expensive, for a tiny cup at full price it came to $ 4.00, for that price I can make an entire litre of my own ice-cream. While I won’t make a point of going to Cold Stone, it’s not bad if you are in a pinch and craving ice-cream.

Located at the corner of Forest Hills Pkwy and Main Street in Dartmouth, attached to the Tim Hortons. I really like that they made good use of this space by putting in a Cold Stone Creamery. The ice cream is great and you can get a custom blend each time. Just pick an ice cream flavour and pick your mixing ingredients and they blend it all on a cold stone slab. Yum! They also have a great pre-made menu to choose from with really witty name(i.e. «the pie who loved me»). They also have waffle cones and bowls! Beside the door when you come in… a fridge packed full of ice cream cakes. My birthday is in June :-) The staff at this location have always been great to me, joking at the counter when I order my barrel of ice cream. The seating area is nice, brightly lit with lots of windows and a view of busy Main Street. Not super comfy, the typical Tim Hortons steel chairs, but they don’t really want you to hang out, so they serve the purpose. The sizes are amusing, «love it»; «gotta have it». Prices are a little steep, but compared to the other franchise ice cream places(DQ) they are on par. Accessible by wheelchair, no wi-fi.
