Three Dog Bakery

This was my second time in the store. My first time there was nice. They have lots to look at and good quality dog toys and I was looking for something specific for my dog. I walked throughout the store for about 5 or so minutes looking for the toy. The store isn’t very big so it didn’t take me long to look around. They didn’t have to toy, which was fine, but the fact that there were two women at the back counter chatting the whole time, not once acknowledging my friend or I made this a negative experience. No hello, glance, nothing. I went out of my way to come to this specific store for a specific toy, the fact that there was zero customer service made my trip feel like a waste of time.

My pugs LOVE the treats from Three Dog. I’m pretty sure they salivate just seeing the bag when I bring it home.
They’ve got a wide selection of gourmet treats, food, and other edibles for all different kinds of tastes. Need something special for your puppy? No problem. They have it. Now, I can’t confess to knowing all the types… because I do find their selection overwhelming at times, but I know there’s something there for everyone. You just need to ask their friendly staff!
I’ve also seen them at a number of local events for animal-​related charities, which makes me, and the pugs, want to go back again and again.

I’ve always walked past this place, but my yorkie Matilda was insistent today so we had to go in.
It’s a cozy space – there were three big dogs already inside that took up a lot of room, but the owners were friendly and responsible. Every dog got a good sniff in an there were no problems.
I felt a little overwhelmed at all of the stuff for different diets, nutritional needs, unique mixes and… just everything. Matilda was glued to the display case of baked treats. Unfortunately, there were just two people on staff, one ringing in and another decorating, so no one could answer my questions. That was the only negative.
I finally found Matilda a small enough and fashionable dog collar, she’s been wearing a cat’s collar since I got her. Very undignified.
Once it was my turn, at the counter with a small variety of treats to try out for Matilda. She offered a few samples of the baked treats for Matilda to try – which I thought was very nice. The extra special treats look like they are well worth the money, with all of the decorations and the attentiont to detail for good ingrediants for your pet.
Matilda adored the carrot cakes, so I took two of those to go and on a whim ordered a little birthday cake for her since she’s going to be one this month.
Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend people try it out for extra awesome pampered dog treats. I will return on a less busy day to ask questions about their products which seem unique and singular for even the most picky dogs.

Cheryl D. and Krista L. are both bang on — this is a gourmet bakery for dog treats, dog foods, dog cakes, and just about anything else for dogs that you can create with organic ingredients that an owner can actually pronounce. We’ve played around with some of their kibbles, treats and chews which were at times life-​savers with one of our pooches who has stomach issues that would send the residents of Pompeii running.
Their stock of bath products, leashes, collars, clothes, and incredible locally-​made (I think?) doggie art make for a fantastic shopping experience that will keep you from any big box pet aisle for the rest of your life.

WOW what a store. This is like the Freak Lunch Box for Dogs. The Three Dog Bakery is the first of this kind that I have come across in NS but after looking it up on the net these locations are across the world. Walking through the crossing we spotted this location and having a dog ourselves we took a peek in.
OMG to cute A Dog Birthday Cake it is called a Bone Cake for $ 18.95. Now this is something that Murphy will be getting on his special day to celebrate turning 7. Honestly I really did not think about a concept like this.
Not only are there BD cakes there is a variety of other dog treats like cookies with several flavours to chose from and cupcakes and even bagels.
Bath accessories for the dogs are available as well like shampoos and special grooming tools. And after they are smelling all pretty you can even purchase something from the Dog clothing line like a sweater.
If you are a dog owner you must check out this store I guarantee that you will be walking out with some form of treat.

I was very excited to discover the Three Dog Bakery. For those of you who haven’t yet heard of it, it’s a gourmet bakery — for Dogs!
When you first walk in, the room smells heavenly… All of the freshly made dog treats are in large case displays and elegantly presented. Some of the items on display include:
— Large bone shaped treats customized with dog’s name;
— Pup-​cakes;
— Peanut Mutter Cookies, and
— Large bone shaped birthday cookies.
Considering that they’re all essentially just dog-​treats, they’re a little over priced, but they seem to be more-​so priced comparatively with people treats (e.g. Doggy Birthday cake $ 18, Pup-​cakes $ 2).
In addition to their freshly made treats, they also sell a selection of pre-​packaged treats and other doggy accessories and toys. Overall, I was very impressed with the store — who would have thought that there’d ever be a market for a gourmet doggy treats!
