My boyfriend Kyle and I went out today as a day out shopping since both of us had the day off. One if the things we needed was a connecter cable from pc to controller. So one of the first stops we made was to the source. We quickly found what we needed and went to pay. As we were talking with the staff helping us it was brought up that we were planning on going to get Kyle a new phone upgrade.
Upon hearing this we were shown some offers that the store had going on at the time. Prices were great and one bundle allowed any 200$ down on anything else in the store. Our Xbox is an older gen and we have been saving up for a new one. This was perfect for us. The service provided was absolutely outstanding. Thank you Brock and Rafin you were both amazing today.
On another note I have very bad anxiety and today was especially bad so thank you for your patience and understanding. It really means a lot.

My girlfriend and I went in to the source at Mic Mac Mall today to originally purchase a wire to connect an Xbox remote to pc. After some discussion about what the rest of our plans for the day were we ended up getting a new phone. Prices were great and with the bundle ended up with the new Xbox as well. Great service awesome advice and overall a great experience. Thank you Rafin and Brock your service today was fantastic.

I know that sometimes we see three stars and think«Oh. Just three stars. Pass.» But you gotta remember that it means«a-okay.» As in «you’ll get what you want/need but won’t necessarily be amazed.» That’s my impression of this The Source. Uh… The Source at Mic Mac Mall. I didn’t need much. I came in, was greeted, spotted what I wanted and got help from the staff. When the price came up differently than marked, there was barely a moment of doubt before the employee charged me the lower price. This store never seems busy which is maybe why the staff have time to help you. Or, I’d hope, it’s the opposite. Because the staff are so helpful, people don’t need to stay long. They can get in, get what they need, and get out. That was my experience.

I use to be a regular customer of the chain. Having purchased various items over the years(laptop, surround sound home theatre system, 32″ LCD tv, wireless routers, printer ink, outdoor wireless speakers, etc) I would consider myself a good customer. I had no issue with the Source until my most recent experience. Having purchased & returned an Asus Transformer Tablet bundled with the keyboard dock. I returned the tablet with no problems within the required time, and due to concerns I had over quality(light bleed on screen edges). No hassle getting a refund. And I thought that was that. Wrong. Six months later I receive a phone call from a man whom had just purchased a supposedly new transformer bundle. I had completed the warranty card prior to returning it and this was never removed when it was«refurbished»! I contacted the source online & that’s where the fun began. Customer service had no answers, having to contact the store manager. Said manager was more concerned having been charged $ 65 for the reset /refurb. I was reassured any potential personal info would have been wiped from the storage in the tablet. But when a warranty card is overlooked, and one learns the company resells open box, returned product without disclosing this, it is hard to take comfort or feel assured. The Source has lost a longtime regular customer. Even the regional manager Mr. Allan Smith will not address this issue, having now ignored two emails. What ever happened to customer service? Shop elsewhere for your electronics!

Don’t come here during the Christmas rush. The store location is too small to get around or even breathe in, customers are generally shopping for things they don’t understand for their teenagers and have a ton of questions, and each staff member rings in their own customers — meaning, unless you can grab one of the few employees, you’re going to be waiting a long time. I particularly scoffed when while I was being helped at the cash, another employee asked me to step aside so she could ring in HER customer. All that said, I ended up being helped by the assistant manager in picking up a new iPhone 4G and contract through Bell and he was helpful, knowledgeable, and fast given the messy process of getting a new phone. He tried hard to maintain focus on my purchase despite being asked a thousand questions by other people and managed to be a little personable at the same time. Will I be back? Not if I can avoid it — but my experience wasn’t as bad as some of the other customers’ that I witnessed while I waited.
