Davids Tea… On a scale from Rosie O’Donnell to Mila Kunis its a very respectable Nicole Kidman, and what I mean by that is that its very attractive from far away until you get up close and personal and have to talk to it. You’re almost always greeted by the Cashier/Barista’s with a normally great sample tea, everyday at Davids Tea is a Costco Saturday. You see everything is great at Davids Tea, friends of mine go there and always have the best tasting best smelling tea’s, their samples are always so delicious, their products are so well made that their tea thermoses keep the tea piping hot for literally too long — but if you’re like me you’ll never be pleased with what you get there. They have tea menu’s for each season where it tells you what tastes like what, some are bizarre(one has popcorn in it…) and some are regular(oolong). I always read through the menu and pick the tea I think I’ll like the most(mmm blueberries and lemon? sign me up!) and then by the time I get it home it’s molted into what can only be described as the most revolting Casey Anthony case of ten dollar tea that you’ve ever had. I realize this place is big with those who are«hip» and«trendy» but I find if you leave the purchasing decisions to them and just take what you’re given, you’ll save a lot of money(to buy Red Rose tea) and aggravation. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful though,

So glad there is a David’s Tea in Dartmouth. This is a great place for a healthy and flavorful drink either iced or hot(you choose). The people who work here are very nice and knowledgeable of the teas and will gladly give you some info, recommendations, samples, etc. Highly recommended if you have a love for tea.

I love David’s Tea! This location is a bit smaller and more compact than the other two locations in the HRM, but that doesn’t change the consistent experience I’ve experienced here. The staff are mostly young, but very enthusiastic, and because it’s located right next to another of my favorite Mic Mac shops, LUSH, I seem to have a habit of stopping in for a tea every time I’m in the mall. I’d echo Angela H’s sentiments that this location is calmer and more quiet than the other David’s Tea locations, so if you are new to looseleaf tea, this would be a great location to become introduced and educated.

I have been to David’s Tea a few times now, both the Spring Garden location as well as the Mic Mac Mall location and I become more impressed each time I go there. I have to say every time I go in the experience is fantastic and has been very consistent between both locations. I enjoy the Mic Mac location a little more only because it’s a bit quieter. I feel like I can move around and get a little more service time there. The staff at Mic Mac is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I feel as though a tea encyclopedia is standing in front of me and ready to share their knowledge should I ever need any. It’s a wonderful thing really. The knowledge a David’s Tea employee holds in their brain is fascinating! So many different types of teas and then each type has a variety of falvour combinations and it’s something to be marveled at when an employee can answer any question at the drop of a hat. Definitely a David’s Tea fan, though I love my Starbucks for my basic black(though maybe I haven’t tried enough of them at David’s yet) I can enjoy a variety of flavours whenever I choose through David’s.
