I would love to try the food but unfortunately we got there at 7:40 on a Saturday night and they were already closed. On their site it says that they close at 8. Very disappointing!

Got take out Cod & Chips(2pcs) and Popcorn Shrimp. Fish & chips were wrapped up in paper/newspaper and was still warm once we got home. Opened up the packaging and found 2.5 pieces of fish. Great surprise. Split the fish among 2 of us and it was just the right amount of food. Popcorn shrimp was pretty good too! Will go back another time to have the all-you-can-eat option.

The best mushy peas in the lower mainland. The fish and chips are pretty good too.

When I’m in the mood for fish n chips this is the place we go to. Not that there is really any other fish n chip place in the area. We get take out. The chips are quite good and the fish is large pieces but heavy on the batter. If you eat inside they do have a great toddler special that’s one small piece of fish and chips, great for kids who are to young to eat off a kids menu, this is definitely something unique that should be available at other family type restaurants. Overall it’s OK fish and chips but when you live in the Tri cities there’s slim pickins when it comes to good old fashioned fish and chips.

Well I have read the bad reviews and I admit thats totally what I expected when we went a couple of weeks ago but it sooo good! I could complain about being charged for tartar but lots orf places do. The inside was surprising nice not what I had been expecting. In fact maybe thats what made it taste even better. But overall I was impressed with everything. My only regret is I didnt have the beer special with it.

It’s funny how this place is so busy all the time. It really isn’t all that good, guys. You come in, seat yourself at the crumb-laden dirty and sticky table, and order your fish and chips. Let’s just be real here. This is a low-end establishment(not that there’s anything wrong with that). Basically, the McDonald’s of fish of chips. The fish and chips itself was OK(nothing to rock your socks off), the general cleanliness of the place left a lot to be desired, with the attitude and service-level of the waitresses making it very clear that this is just a transitional job along the way for something better. You’d be better served heading to Bridges on Granville Island or the wonderful places in Steveston Village.

Great, classic fish and chips. We did take out and it was fantastic.

If you enjoy pre-frozen blandness. C-lovers is for you. I was amazed it didn’t come to the table in little triangles in a handy blue box. The person who wrote a good review for this joint also wrote a great review for Tim Horton’s — so I guess they are a true gourmet and can speak with authority. Go next door to the Thai place, at least you won’t get the gout.

I am a British ex pat. So Fish & Chips is right at the top of my list of favorite meals. I am also very picky when it comes to Fish & Chips. I have gone to C-Lovers since it first opened in 1984, and one thing I can say is it has always been consistent. The restaurant it’s self is always clean & tidy. And although it is a bit on the pricey side if you start adding things on. like their great authentic mushy peas or Battered Mushrooms. It is well worth every penny. and you leave with a full belly. They are the original owner/operators, and that is something I like, because you get to know people and they get too know you too. The food is never greasy or heavy either.

Food was pretty good. I like the fries. Service are good and food came very quickly. Was busy with lots of turn over.
