Piss pour attitude! Don’t do any business with the owner Andrew. I was at the expo a few years ago. I needed a bunch of items signed by Darryl Sittler, 25 items to be exact. Cards, 8×10s and one puck. Talked to the first associate to inquire about the bulk discount. I was kindly referred to Andrew(the owner) since he hovering around the cash till. I asked and he immediately shot me down and walked away. «The price is what it is» «since it was a special fan appreciation deal I would only be allowed to by 2 tickets» I understand it was busy, but I wasn’t rude or confrontational about it. He didn’t seem he wanted my money, around $ 600+… He seemed to afraid of his competitors buying autographs since the price was already really good. I heard he’s pretty self conscious about that stuff. Anyway, I was a little taken back, I know the guy has a reputation of being a abrasive prick. So I went back to first sales associate I talked to and inquired again after Andrew left and was out of view. I made an offhanded joke and we laughed. He ended up selling me the 25 tickets plus $ 5 off per autograph since I was buying 25. I got what I needed signed and left. What a joke, I have never had to go over the bosses head to get a deal on something at any business anywhere! Makes me question who is really in control over there. I only buy things there because they bring in certain guests that their competitors don’t. I’m slowly distancing myself from the them. I know a few of their competitors that can get me stuff from them(AJs) either directly or indirectly. They are better more respectable companies in Toronto I much rather give my money to. check out this TSN special about AJs putting their authentic hologram on forged autographs Their featured in the first 10 minutes

Let me preface this by stating that I do NOT collect sports memorabilia and cannot fathom anyone paying hundreds of dollars for a jersey, hockey stick, signed picture., etc. of their favorite athlete. My brother(in Windsor) is one such person and he and his wife frequently commute to Vaughan when a particular athlete is having an autograph session in house. Sometimes, items can be left in their care if the person is signing at a later date… and I have to retrieve such item once it’s been signed(I have learnt all new sorts of lingo… like McFarland refers to a sports figurine made of plastic???) Anyways, on the days I’ve gone in to pick things up, the staff have been very informative and helpful. The last thing I had to pick up was a hockey stick, that my brother bought on eBay listed as a stick that a certain player used in a certain game. Anyways, this particular player was signing items($ 50 per signature… great gig) and it turns out that it wasn’t a stick he used in that game or a stick he ever used. The staff informed me when I went to get the item… which he still signed by the way(gotta get that $ 50 I suppose) so I had to break the sad news to my brother. There were tears… If I was into sports memorabilia, this store would be it. It is huge with all sorts of sports covered: baseball, hockey, football, basketball, world series stuff, bobble heads, McFarland(I know what they are!). Staff know their stuff.
