I live in Vancouver and wasn’t sure what to expect. I was so impressed. We had California roll(my friends son wanted it) quite a small size and average tasting. The Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese roll– Amazing! Prawn Tempura– Some of the best I’ve ever had. Not greasy, nice light and crisp batter, huge prawns:) Tuna tataki– mediocre and it didn’t come with any little dish of sauce for marinating it. Most disappointing dish of the evening and also most expensive! Gyoza– Standard gyoza Tatoyaki– Deliscious! Dynamite Roll– very good just really small rolls sizes at this place All in all a great sushi experience and I even got my friend who was a Sushi newbie to like and even crave more. They call me The Sushi Sensei;)

We go every time we are in Comox. About once a month. Love it! By far the best spicey agadashi I have had anywhere. Excellent sunomono, generous portion of it too. We have yet to have anything we didn’t really enjoy.

Good quality, clean and most importantly taste good. Location is a bit odd but compared to the other sushi options in town you will realize it is one of the best given seating and portions.

Good solid sushi in a modern atmosphere. Not the best in the Comox Valley but you won’t be disappointed.

Went last night with the inlaws. Had yam tempura and chicken teriyaki with miso soup. The food was average and the service was a little slow considering the restaurant was nearly empty, the wait staff was friendly so I believe a 3 star is a fair shake. Will try the sushi next visit.

So far so good! Went in for first time yesterday. Place was packed and there was a line out the door! We got takeout. Very happy to see Oyakudon on the menu. As good as I remember it in Japan. My sister was pleased with the avacado roll she ordered as a snack as it was not overly ricey. Next time we’ll be sampling the sashimi. Like what I’ve had so far… now if only I can find a Japanese resto outside Japan that will put the old comfort food standby of curry rice on the menu.

Nice and friendly people. Pretty average sushi. Everything has imitation crab in it and when you order real crab for 2 $ extra, sometimes they forget. They can’t compete with Kobo’s but they are open 7 days a week.
