The food was outstanding, menu very creative. Our waiter(Justin) was not only entirely on it, he was humorous, informative, and entertaining. Overall, the perfect evening for our group of 8. The Sweet Potato gnocci is worth the 2 hour drive from Toronto, believe me!!! Maple syrup, bacon, a hint of apple, and sweet potato done up in a boiled and then slightly seared gnocci. Prices were fair, very fair for the area.

Here is my personal experience at the restaurant: I ordered the shrimp/calamari appetizer, honestly it was really good and tasty. Both the strimp and calamari were tender. I definitely recommend that appetizer. For the main course I ordered a medium rare steak and waited for it for about 40 mins. Was it worth the wait? Nope. It was medium cooked when it arrived and 25% of it was pure fat. The greens and potatoes with it were delicious. To be honest it’s not worth $ 36… I personally would not purchase that off the menu. I heard great reviews about their pastas though. Dessert: Café Tuscany, white chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu cake. Café Tuscany: it wasn’t anything special… Personally over priced and tastes alright. Tiramisu: delicious, tender and moist. I highly recommend it. Cheese cake: also really delicious. Service: The waitress was polite… however she did not ask us about our meals or whether or not we are happy with everything.

Had dinner there tonight with 3 other girlfriends. Their homemade mushroom soup was an awesome starter. We all had the same main course, the seafood stew. The crusty Rosemary bread is great for soaking up the delicious broth from this fully loaded seafood dinner. Plenty of parking right across the road. We didn’t have wine, and all in, the bill was $ 41. We’ll be back.

Just went here yesterday with the fam. It’s a pretty small and neat place but the service is amazing and the food is sooo delicious. We tried the sweet potato gnocchi and 3 pizzas with different toppings and they are all so fresh and yummy! Will definitely come back here when in the area :) overall an amazing experience!

This is the restaurant I frequent in Collingwood when I get together with my family. It’s a pretty, intimate spot that’s a little pricey but definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Collingwood. The food is pretty good, although I find the menu a bit limited sometimes. The service has always been great, and they have a great tasting Sauvignon Blanc by the glass. Their gnocchi with maple syrup and bacon is quite a nice dish if you’re a fan of maple syrup. If you’re looking for a nicer spot for dinner in the area and don’t mind spending a bit more than average, I do recommend it. Also, I find it to be a better value than the similarly upscale Huron Club next door.

We were last night at this lovely restaurant. The service was excellent and the food amazing! After some delicious appetizers, I had the risotto with duck, my friend had the pasta with bacon and bread crumbs(forgot the name). To die for!!! Strongly recommended for a relaxing dinner with girlfriends or a romantic evening with your partner.

The place seemed nice and cozy, the ambience was nice and dim, perfect for an evening out. However my girlfriend wasn’t feeling well after we had ordered a number of appetizers so she asked the waitress if she could pack up the apps once they came out and the dessert as well. The waitress responded with«Sure! That’s not rude at all. I’ll pack this up for you.» When she said this, the tone she used was not suggestive of someone who would be considered rude, but the content of her message definitely was. It was not busy in the restaurant at all, we were probably one of 3 tables there that Thursday night, though we were aware that we caught the kitchen right at closing time. Her subtle snottiness was definitely noted by my gf who proceeded to say to me after, «WTF? Did I hear what I think i just heard???»

Each year we visit Collingwood in the fall to hike amongst the beautiful turning leaves. On our last visit we dined at nearby Tesoros, and after looking at Azzurras menu, the two restaurants seemed to have a common passion and style of cooking. We came a few hours before to book a table, and they were able to accommodate us on the Thanksgiving weekend, luckily. We were going to a movie later in the evening so unfortunately we had to make an early reservation. We were the first to arrive and i am not a big fan of eating in a vacant restaurant, but it soon filled up. I started the meal with a local greens salad topped with a honey balsamic dressing. The first course really sets the tone for the meal, and unfortunately i was disappointed with my salad. The dressing was great, with the addition of the honey it was more sweet than tangy, but it was too overdressed, causing the leafs to wilt slightly. Also, it wasn’t really a salad it was just lettuce, there were no textural variations. For my main i had the sweet potato gnocchi, bacon, sage, apple, brussel sprouts, maple syrup, shaved regianno. The plate arrived and it was so colourful. Right away i noticed that there was way too much cheese, first off it covered up the colours of the dish and the cheese was too overpowering in flavour, and it was the major downfall of the entrée. The sweet potato gnocchi were perfectly shaped, they weren’t as fluffy as i have had prior but they had great flavour. The bacon was cubed and it was crispy and delicious. I really liked the brussel sprouts, they added an earthy note, and helped off set the sweetness. I liked the maple syrup but overall, the dish was too sweet. For dessert i had the lavender crème brûlée. One thing i love about their deserts are that you can try a trio for $ 10. I was worried that there would be too much lavender and that it would be too floral, luckily i couldn’t even taste the lavender. It was the perfect size, it was creamy, and the burnt sugar on top was a perfect thin layer. My sis ordered the lemon tart, and it arrived in a ramekin, she then asked the waitress if it normally came like this. Our server wasn’t aware that she served us a lemon pot versus a tart. She corrected her mistake, however i was surprised that she didn’t know the difference. Overall the atmosphere in Azzurra is warm, the service was good, and for a small town the food is decent.

This popular restaurant was busy on a Saturday night in downtown Collingwood. It’s an intimate restaurant for a dinner that still feels casual. The décor was rustic and quint, they had decorative cute Christmas lights that brightened the place up. This restaurant was a lovely place for a dinner. The service was attentive and friendly. We arrived early for our reservation and were seated on the patio. Once it got dark it was dinner for the mosquitoes too, so we asked to be moved inside. They waitstaff didn’t mind at all. The food here is locally sourced and fresh. We started with a large order of mussels with tomato and cilantro. The portion was huge and they separated them into two bowls without being asked which was nice. There were a few mussels that did not open and were not picked out. There was not a bucket for the shells or separate napkin for your lap and your hands. For my main, I had the duck. The duck was perfectly braised and the skin was nice and crispy. The duck wasn’t overly flavourful but I like the fresh berry jus it was served with. The kale and bacon was a nice side. Mmm bacon. I like that they had an option for 3 small sample sized desserts for $ 10. We had the lemon pot, crème brule, and flourless chocolate brownie. They were all good, but my favourite was the lemon pot. The fruit desserts were all a bit tart, but I liked it. Overall, we had a good time here. The food isn’t super creative, it’s simple but made with care. The service was good and I liked the local and laid back vibe.
